Well it was mentioned that they would show an hour worth of games. Whether that's fully on gameplay, teasers, trailers, etc. I could only speculate.

Anything outside of games is just icing on the cake! Hopefully they will do the console reveal with a tear down of the console. I don't expect a price until July/August, but outside of that they just need to open the floodgates!

With it being a 2.5hr long presentation and also being advertised on on TV, I'm starting to think we might not only be getting 1hr worth of games, but also a console reveal and possibly even having pre-orders go up as well. That could be wishful thinking, but Sony is obviously wanting a TON of people to watch this, so it makes sense to me that they would open up pre-orders.

I wouldn't doubt it seriously. That would be the perfect combo. Hour worth of games, plus the hardware teardown? But then some people are saying they wouldn't advertise the hardware without showing the price also. Who's to say they won't do it? Traditionally we've seen hardware and price in June.
That ESPN TV Spot really makes me believe they're going to unload.

My most nerdy moment: I watched the 4 minute Breath of the Wild trailer at a speed that slowed it down to ~35 mins (1/8 speed I think) so I could analyse each frame, what a wanker I am.

Jim Ryan said 'a bit more than an hour'. So maybe around 70 minutes. Not 2.5h. They may have a pre-show or post-show stuff with maybe some interviews or if lucky longer gameplay demos, who knows.

For one the "event" thing on PS4 starts a half hour early.. so that's when they go live with the "Coming soon" thing.
That leaves 2 hours for the "event" itself; they are probably just making sure there's enough room just in case once all the video editing is done. Maybe they expect it's possible going to encroach an hour and a half so to be stay they just set it up for 2 hours.
