When in a cutscene devs know where the camera will be and what will happen so it gets easier to streamline what is being rendered and loaded. I believe we will see much more higher quality assets on gameplay in the next-gen consoles as those assets wonāt need to be always in RAM to reduce loading, they can be streamed as needed with ease.On PS4 and Xbox One, The Witcher 3 had a pretty drastic difference in texture and lighting quality (EDIT: for clarity, I mean between cinematic and gameplay on the same console, not between one and the other console):

Edit: This is quite common if you go out of bounds in games, youāll usually find the cutscene-grade models hidden somewhere. They are there to pre-load.

It kinda does though , Xbox Series X will always have a compute advantage while PS5 will do some data juggling that will lead to it processing more data than Xbox Series X in a lot of situations.

I donāt know why MS would tip their hand if this is what theyāre referring to. They defined their power lead on tflops - that hasnāt and wonāt change so to now modify that position on the implied capability of the PS5 outside of the tflop comparison seems unnecessary.
Yep could be a hamfisted swipe at Sony given it seems to call into question the power lead of the Xsex.
But yeah, I can imagine Phil S has poor language skills and didnāt really consider what that phrase could be taken to mean.

I donāt think Phil is a console warrior per se, but he is the face of Xbox and that requires him to say some things he doesnāt understand/care but the marketing team wants. I can totally see this being a Greenberg thing under influence of some podcast hosts.

Instead, preferring to just click the report button. We made this clear last time, sort out your own problems. If you are not going to self moderate by using the ignore feature or press down until a post you don't like disappears from the screen, then you are responsible for your own misery. And before anyone announces any 'conspiracy theories', we've had crying xbox fans and crying playstation fans reporting posts. And just to be clear, before the dramatisation is added, the number of xbox fans was slightly higher (but not significantly).

Seems like this is just the beginning when it comes to timed exclusives/exclusive content for the PS5.
The rumours of Final Fantasy 16 being exclusive to PS5 for a while may be true after all.

I think that with various types of optimizations, new consoles will already be able to perform similar effects using simulation in games:
Even in this generation, there were already games that used similar, but not as complex, effects. Alienation, for example, where the fluid simulation system was already used (grid voxel based 64x16x64, less than 1ms on base PS4 in async compute) I'm not talking about GPU PhysX in the Batman Arkham Knight on PC. Which just works really fine on my RTX2070.

If the rumors are anything to go by, we can have Socom coming back and a slight hardware revision? The one may be credible, especially with GaaS becoming more prevalent, but I still don't see the second one being possible apart of some sort of RAM bandwidth revision or more RAM (for example, OS dedicated RAM).
