Do we know exactly what the NG patch is going to be vs the BC upgrade playing it now on PS5? Have they announced yet?
I don't think CD Projekt Red has announced any details yet.
I just don't want to play the game on a brand new nextgen console if it plays the same as on PS4 Pro.
I wish it had even 60 fps option at launch but we'll see. As I said on my post I have lot's of games to play before Cyberpunk, so I can wait :)

The toggle for quality/performance has been noted on the recent PS5 leaked footage. So it's pretty much confirmed now

The more I see, the worse it looks. Super happy to wait for the PS5 patch/version. Perhaps longer if that has issues too. Don't envy anybody buying this next week. You've waited years. You can't wait a little longer?

I can’t wait because I’ll likely be spoiled by some random youtube video I see when scrolling down my recommended videos.

Happened to me while I was waiting for goty/definitive editions of some games and it sucks.

There was a link to a live stream of the PS5 gameplay(posted in the leaks thread) and it blew me away, it looked completely different to the base consoles footage. It looked amazing tbh, I am well hyped after seeing it.

What's the consensus so far from people who got early copies. I already heard about the Main Story length, but I can't form an opinion on that yet, since I know a lot of these people tend to rush through things. But what about the game itself? Any word that it's living up to expectations?

a journalist with the game told me it's really buggy to the point where it's laughable. The further u get into the game worse they get.

said it may hit 93 Metacritic but drop as more people finish up

Overall positive I'd say. Several people have claimed it's buggy but not as bad as some of the leaked clips make it out to be. Reviewers who got to preview it for 16 hours recently were very positive, but pointed out it's a proper RPG and people who come in expecting Cyberpunk GTA might be disappointed.

Some people rushed main story but said it's amazing and has superb pacing. Gameplay is surprisngly good and solid. Many ways to aproach quests. Fuck ton of great side quests. Solid perfomance on consoles. Yea hype is real

I think I’m gonna get this. I was going to wait until next year, but the hype is getting to me. Should I get it digitally for my Xbox One S, or on PC? I have a GTX 970 and i7 processor.

can’t decide whether to get this on Xbox sx or ps5. Don’t plan on getting an RTX card for pc for a couple of years so PC is out.

It's a tough choice. We don't have a lot of background to be sure which console will perform better. Especially after the next gen patch.

The word is very positive. We should start seeing reviews landing tomorrow so there should be plenty to pour-over.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

You'll probably need to run it in 1080p and don't expect much in the way of bells and whistles but performance-wise it should be better versus the base consoles, especially if you have an SSD.

I only have a 1080p monitor at the moment anyway so it’s not a problem. I Just hope it will maintain 60fps.

I would imagine it will come with some benchmarking options, and I dare say Nvidia might push out another driver for it also.

I'm holding out for the 3070Ti/3080Ti cards atm, so I'm going to be playing in 1080p myself on my trusty 1070Ti , plan to make sure I get that upgrade in before the first DLC though.

Putting upgrades higher on my to-do list as we speak.

I agree with that. When I played The Witcher 3 I was overwhelmed with things to do and see. I couldn't tell what was the main questline. If I had been more in to the game and the genre, I would have loved the hell out of that. If Cyberpunk is anything like how Witcher did, I'm all set. I want to get lost and immersed in a sea of quests to do.

Yeah it took me quite some time to get into the game - multiple false starts for me until I finally “got it” and pushed through. Mainly wanted to play it before cyberpunk. But yeah I’m just not super into that fantasy type setting/world. This will be far more up my alley

Twice as big as GTA5 according to push square.
something feels off with the scale when he is comparing the maps. Like the GTA map was zoomed out.

The comparison with The witcher is pointless because the cars change how you perceive the distance, so who knows what CDPR meant by the map being smaller. But I don't buy this estimate. not that it has to be 2x GTA map to be good, at some point the size of the map stops to matter and can be a problem.

Ah, fuck it. I’ve preordered. Even if it comes out a janky mess, I still want to immerse myself in that sweet, sweet dystopian cityscape hell as much as possible. I may hole myself up permanently in one of the mega blocks, and not come out until they send me a million credits, a crate of Umpty Candy, and two cans of Boing for my escape*

Well it's supposed to be receiving a significant patch as far as I know.

Yeah he said "hell to the no" in regards to a patch fixing all the issues

Well yeah that's a given. No one should expect all the bugs and performance issues to be gone Day 1. As long as the patch gets it to the point where it's not egregiously bad.

Doesn’t matter if it’s smaller anyway as the verticality of the map makes it much more bigger in reality.

yea but reviewers do not play with that patch. almost seems like they should have released it a week later then if it really comes down to this dam
Hope reviewers wont drag the score down due to not playing with the patch yet

Says who? They'd be given access to a downloadable review build which will be, if not final code than very close to it.

The day 1 patch is already done...it needed to past Cert testing in order to get approval by MS & Sony so they could lock in the release date. It just won't be deployed publically until the game officially releases.
