Not really, but alright. One could say use BC games with evident performance issue on ps5 just to claim how xbox is better, it's hilarious and pathetic in the same way but eh.
That post and your avatar is sublime.Watched a few streams.
Game seems kinda shit.
The ps5 runs exactly the same as pro? Is it just more stable? No, I'm pretty sure you're trying to derail this into a BC flex thread or something
1080p/30 on PS4
1080p/60 on the Pro
I was interested in this game, but then I watched some gameplay and was put right off it. It seemed somehow really ... generic.
I mean, is it just me, or does this just look crap?
Ratchet? Hell yeah brotherYeah I can’t to play it. My money is ready

Looks pretty good to me. Environment looks terrific and combat looks fine.
Yeah i'm liking what i see in the streams, a bit of jank here and there and the combat looking good is correlated to the skills of the players, i like the guy but cohh is not exactly a 3d action expert...
And in 4 hours he barely scratched the surface of the game.
Really? Why?This guy is a banned source, btw.
What a hilarious alternate reality you live in. Sony literally removing the backwards capat hardware from the PS3 therefore also removing any possibility of backpat PS2 games is doing it well? Lol you have such low standards I can hardly believe it, but then you follow that up and say Microsoft did it half ass? I can't evenIt's weird, no one really gave much of a shit about backwards compatibility until this particular generation.
Sony did it well until PS4, to little fanfare. Xbox half arsed it until recently. Really has been taken to another level in the last year.
Don't know why that is, maybe it becomes super important to a set of fans, when one company does something better than the other.
But the entire point of these consoles are to allow everyone to play next gen games right?
Why aren't we hearing more about those.
He's been wrong numerous times, possibly faking results (or just having shit tools).Really? Why?
Good news! Apparently it does! It's always nice to see the PR match reality. But i thought the Series S would have parity with the other systems just at low resolution
idk if you read the thread or are just intentionally coming in with dumb takes, but Series S runs at parity with Series X just at 1440p (lower resolution). It is uncapped at 60 fps, not 30 unlike what THQ tweeted.
This thread turned into an Xbox fan dick eating contest. I hope to see this game bought and the devs supported by you clowns.
Wow so, so, so sensitive.. you literally interpreted my post as an attack on your favourite billion dollar company. It's so boring and tedious. What a hilarious alternate reality you live in. My guess is it defaults to 1440p/30 so that was what was reported by the THQ social team. It's a toggle in the settings. Just poor communicationwtf is it with companies not being able to accurately report simple facts? because it was weird to see 1440p30 for the Series S
Lol dude you're too funny, nothing in either of our posts make me angry, just shows how disconnected you are.Wow so, so, so sensitive.. you literally interpreted my post as an attack on your favourite billion dollar company. It's so boring and tedious.
It must be a lot of fun being you.. getting upset about someone's opinion on backwards compatibility over 10 years ago... damn man.

and I don't get it. their emulator even on PS3 can play A TON OF GAMES... now with softmods people can actually try every game on it and so many work really well, it is ridiculous that they didn't offer backwards compatibility for those titles.
here are the STATS, and this is only from th egames tested, many are untested because they are niche or people simple didn't post their findings:PS2 Classics Emulator Compatibility List - PS3 Developer wiki
Playstation Development Wiki - PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, PSP, Vita Informationwww.psdevwiki.com
218 Games are "Official PS2 Classics"
665 Games are "Playable"
118 Games have "Minor Issues"
47 Games have "Major Issues"
73 Games are "Unplayable"
this means, on a modded PS3 you can play more than 1000 PS2 games without any major issues. the "Minor Issues" category are games that have small graphics glitches or minor slowdowns, the "Playable" category run almost 100% correct as they did on PS2. and again, not every game was tested and the last update on this was in June 2019
and remember, this is the emulator they used for the officially released PS2 games, so this was not even tested or optimized for all the other games whatsoever.
and the fact that the 200 or so officially released download versions are not compatibly via disc is another thing.
EDIT: here are the stats on a modded PS4 btw:
PS2 Classics Emulator Compatibility List - PS4 Developer wiki
Playstation Development Wiki - PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, PSP, Vita Informationwww.psdevwiki.com
54 Games are "Official PS2 Classics"
536 Games are "Playable"
180 Games have "Minor Issues"
91 Games have "Major Issues"
251 Games are "Unplayable"
so on PS4 we have 770 perfectly playable to highly playable PS2 games with an emulator that was only optimized for 54 officially downloadable games! SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY!
as a reminder, there are only 577 Xbox 360 games backwards compatible on Xbox One/SX (which is a matter of licensing mostly, because they have to repackage the game and so they need the rights to do that)
I see. Thanks for the heads up.He's been wrong numerous times, possibly faking results (or just having shit tools).

but who cares about which development set was created if it's BC or whatever ..... it's a new game .. a new game ... repeat with me, a new game for a 499 console, and it runs much better on Xbox. period. It is a problem with the Sony console not being able to take advantage of the performance with game, not of the developers, and certainly not the users.Part of your daily gaming life is full RDNA2 proudness and repeat how much better is this game in BC mode on Xbox because can't run on 4k on ps5 for tech issue?![]()

Funny enough you ignored all other points I have made. Regardless, on paper in terms of TFlops Xbox series x is more powerful platform, it has better bc solution, and what it means, that lots of games that are being released now will work better on Xbox, there is only handful of next gen only title with most of the games being bc or cross gen. My point is that currently Xbox is better place to play these games, seems that releases have less “tech issues” and devs got easier time tapping into that 12 TFlops of power.Part of your daily gaming life is full RDNA2 proudness and repeat how much better is this game in BC mode on Xbox because can't run on 4k on ps5 for tech issue?![]()
These memes are hilarious![]()
And yet it’s more likely that a Playstation fan own a gaming PC than a Xbox fan...Love reading this thread, big hench xbox macho men v the Soystation crew.
Devs confirmed its a technical issue and it will be fixed soonFor what it’s worth, Returnal is also 1080p/60 on PS5 haha
but who cares about which development set was created if it's BC or whatever ..... it's a new game .. a new game ... repeat with me, a new game for a 499 console
since we don't understand each other I'll say it another way:Well placed ad:

Note the PS4 and Xbox One part
It might be new, but it isn’t ”a new game for a $499 console”, but that seems to get lost along the road to fit the narrative.
I still don't get it why you are wasting everyone's time on a BC game. Once it will be recompiled, if ever, with the new feature set for next gen we can spend time debating, but until then it's just console warring. It's a useless debate.but who cares about which development set was created if it's BC or whatever ..... it's a new game .. a new game ... repeat with me, a new game for a 499 console, and it runs much better on Xbox. period. While I tend to agree, the difference between 1080p and 4K is quite massive, especially if the assets are highly detailed.I'll never understand this obssession with resolutions. Frame rate I can understand, but resolutions seems to be just pointless console warring.
Coming soon on a XSX near you.Oh Dear PS fans where's Craig when you need him
I haven't read so much FUD in a message for a very long time. It's almost like the fact that PS5 has had solid games running in 4k, 60fps, RT (in performance mode to boot) just got lost to you. And no, 120fps is a target that not even the XSX hits, unless MS asks for a TV set to fix it for them.Funny enough you ignored all other points I have made. Regardless, on paper in terms of TFlops Xbox series x is more powerful platform, it has better bc solution, and what it means, that lots of games that are being released now will work better on Xbox, there is only handful of next gen only title with most of the games being bc or cross gen. we have seen that with next gen only games, ps5 struggles to offer native 4k, it also struggles to offer native 4K via bc, it barely have any 120fps games as well (easiest to achieve on bc games, but if your bc solution is shit, you will have problems).
You missed totally my point. I already said Xbox is better in BC. Now use BC games to say is superior in multiplat is quite asinine but of course it's too much ask to be reasonable and not fanboisticBut Xbox is better ..... at BC.

Naaaa it's not that MS is better at BC, is that both companies have different targets for BC. Sony wants full respect of the original developer's vision, allowing for a newly recompiled PS4 Pro version to go uncapped if it detects to be running on a PS5, while MS just pushes whatever is there to max while letting it run on a VM.But Xbox is better ..... at BC.
