I’ll get it when they announce Venom
so basically never ? lolI’ll get it when they announce Venom
using that logic whats stopping DBFZ from being cross play on xbox and pc? KEKWJust for a small, very small little tiny fee.
As per Epic x Apple trial.
With all the hype and limelight that Ratchet & Clank has, it is easy to miss out on Guilty Gear Strive, which is also releasing on June 11, 2021 on PS4, PS5 and PC. The game is being very highly reviewed and is currently hovering between 89 and 90 on Metacritic.

Metacritic: 89 (was 90 when I started creating this thread)
Opencritic: 84 (90% recommended)
IGN: 9/10
Shacknews: 9/10
GamingTrend: 85/100
Windows Central: 4/5
Just Push Start: 4.5/5
Eurogamer Italy: 9/10
since youre doubling down on your idiocricy im just going to let the mods handle it now.Bandai Namco, as Microsoft is definitely not trying to stop them from implementing it.
Also, what do you mean "using that logic"?
It's been confirmed by court documents that Sony charges from publishers and developers if they want crossplay on Playstation.
i need to upgrade my stick, i dont even know whats good these days i have a hori thoughAnyone tried the PS3 Madcatz TE stick on this game? Or just on PS5 in general?
Sony isn't blocking cross-play. Whoever want cross play must pay up as its not free, like most things in life. It's Sony, what did you expect?
I actually prefer this, because it allows them to focus more on certain characters instead of forcing everyone in there like in other fighting games.Only thing i'm not a big fan of is that story mode is basically just a anime movie to watch with no gameplay, i prefer MK style where you play the story (i mean it's a videogame).
That being said it's not big deal and will watch this in a sit when i plan to sit watch something, so i know what i'm gonna watch. And everything else seems super dope, characters, art design, gameplay, netcode sounds great, and probably even the best ever of any fighting game.

If they didnt pay then it seems like its not worth it for them and its not a must have feature.
In other words they are blocking people by forcing people to pay them extra for it.
Can people put their fanboy:ism aside for five fucking seconds and actually call bullshit out for what it is?
Why are people saying this? where is this as evidence of a sony policy? we already knew sonys stance on cross play they said they werent for it but left it open ended.Sony isn't blocking cross-play. Whoever want cross play must pay up as its not free, like most things in life.

Fast forward to the epic vs. apple trial where the leaked email appeared, and im paraphrasing from memory: Epic started the dialogue up about wanting cross play, and sony responded with they werent interested as it did not benefit them or rather they asked what did they have to gain from doing it? This is when epic replied with 'making them out to be a hero' and offering monetization.
Ok pause right there, if sony had a cross play pay to enable policy in place, why would epic need to offer monetary compensation? remember they (epic) were the ones pushing for cross play, so if there was a 'pay' policy in place i could imagine they simply would have lobbied up the fee and that email dialogue would have never existed. Whats understood doesnt need to be explained....
is playstation charging street fighter v for cross play? what about call of duty?

read my 2nd paragraph of my initial reply to you then get back with me, its fine if we want to examine facts but we shouldnt be injecting our own made up bullshit trying to push it as fact, im not refering to you so much as slime poo poo when i say this.Dude its been leaked and disccused already.
Im sure Sony and all the platform holders have different polices and some rules are flexible when it comes to different publishers, depending on their bargaining power and the strength of their IP.
Actually, it would be an extremely dumb business for Sony and its sharholders if Sony didnt charge for cross play as they have the largest userbase, and other platform like xbox are begging for access to that user base. There is no benefit for Sony to allow cross play to their competeing platforms other than to ask for an additional fee. Logically speaking, and I dont blame them.

Funfact, MS was against crossplay during Xbox 360 era.those lobbies man. I hated it straight away. Its my only gripe with the game. Its going to be tough. Rift Apart, GG or both lol.
I'm all for crossplay in fighters, or games with a smaller following in general. But I sometimes wonder if MS would allow crossplay like that if they were in the leaders position. Phil Spencer acting like "we'll invite playstation players with open arms and gaming should unify" sounded more like a ploy to me. Perhaps they were genuine about it, but perhaps their position forced them to.
Why does that matter? The game needs exactly what from the PS5? SSD doesn't need to be utilized like R&C. It's an amazing looking game!
I hope you Sony warriors don't start trolling every single game that comes out that's not current-gen. You act like cross-gen means the team can't make it look stellar in any way which is BS.
Hmmm they've been cross play with PC since PS2 days though and NEVER stopped. It's Sony, what did you expect?
No Arcade Stick?![]()
I bought this fightpad for it. Gonna main Giovanna.
it won't. Even Xrd with shitty netcode is still alive on Steam.LOL no pc crossplay is a fuck awful decision unless the goal was to kill the PC playerbase
No Arcade Stick?![]()
I can respect that.Naw. I've been a pad player since Street Fighter Champion Edition with a six button controller on Genesis.
Fighting games on PC is like RTS on console. *insert sick smiley*
I hope so too, one thing that was lacking in Dragon Ball FighterZ was singleplayer content. But from the looks of it it's better in Guilty Gear Strive.would this be good for justsingle player alone?
SlimeGoo shitposts in every PS topic without fail. He seemingly has no fear of moderation at all.since youre doubling down on your idiocricy im just going to let the mods handle it now.
apparently youre smart enough to troll but not connect the dots. Arc systems works is the same dev that makes dbfz. dbfz another popular fighting game that has ZERO cross play with pc. So maybe... just MAYBE, could it be the developer? nawww that makes too much sense and doesnt fit your normal shit show posting.
youre trying to combine two very different situations and pretend like they are one. so again ill ask you what is stopping dbfz from being cross play? are you saying nintendo and ms are stopping there player bases from playing with pc? because that has zero to do with sony charging a publisher in a different situation and doesnt explain why arcsys has yet to enable it on there other fighter i guess big bad sony just cock blocked nintendo and ms from pc huh, didnt realize they had that much stroke.
It's not the best fighting game when it comes to single player imo, i suggest you Soul Calibur 6 if you want some dope single player experience.would this be good for justsingle player alone?
I think it will open the door to more initial sales, but I think very few people that are lured in by the accessibility will actually stay playing longer than a month or so. Fighting games are always chasing that mythological audience that will spend hours upon hours labbing and losing online that aren't already fans of the genre, and I don't believe that such an audience exists. If the accessibility opens the door to a bigger audience that is a good thing imo. Interested to see how much legs this game will have given time and once other fighters (i.e. Street Fighter) launch for PS5.
It has already been proven time and time again that making fighting games 'accessible' doesn't draw in more players or sales. For some reason fighting game devs can't seem to see the reality of it, theyre chasing an audience that isnt there. People were already calling this game Street Fighter Strive and its quite telling.I think it will open the door to more initial sales, but I think very few people that are lured in by the accessibility will actually stay playing longer than a month or so. You could be right though, who knows. I just know that the average casual gamer does not like losing, and does not want to put in the effort to actually get better. I mean every time a new Souls game gets close, like clockwork, we get at least 2-3 articles of "here's why they should do an easy mode".
Games like GBFVS tried to do the extremely simplified inputs with room (and reason) to grow out of them, and that game was dropped like a bad habit. Part of that is netcode, sure, part is cross-play, sure. But why wasn't it a hit with that nebulous "accessibility" crowd who cares about neither of those things?
you obviously didnt read the link i provided, or english isnt your first language. because this is some mental gymnastics you have going here.If you read my post you'll figure that was the opposite of what I've just said.
In no moment I said it was trivial for developers to implement.
But when a company is forcing you to pay a fee for implementing cross play, it becomes easy for developers to just not bother implementing it.
And Sony knows that very well.
I never said they were blocking. I said they were charging for it, which discourages developers from implementing it.
