You leave it in Sony/Nintendo's hands, it won't take long to repeat what happened in Japan in rest of the world.
They had their bi-annual racing game that was almost identical to the previous game, a multi-platform game that they bought up near end of production and I'm not sure the other - the simulation game? The whole "MS has no games" talk died last year when they had 3 GOTY quality games.
That's the truth. If you start listing AA games like Kena, then you might as well include everything from The Medium to Sable, The Ascent and dozen more.
Three cheers for Uncle Phil
HIP HIP HOORAY
HIP HIP HOORAY
HIP HIP JORGEEEEEE!
This is one of the most hilarious takes I've seen in a while.
If that's the case then why isn't Xbox dominating everywhere outside of Japan? They seem to know what people want right?
If you start listing
You realize The Medium (which sucks) is also on PS5?If you start listing AA games like Kena, then you might as well include everything from The Medium to Sable, The Ascent and dozen more.
It's parent company is. With PC.
They have mentioned multiple times they are not interested in selling most amount of consoles. Which is fine.
When their innovation in console space has helped industry to grow at where it is today.
You realize The Medium (which sucks) is also on PS5?
You realize The Ascent is also on PS5?
And Sifu is on Switch so it can never be referenced in any Sony related thread ever again. Forever. You realize The Medium (which sucks) is also on PS5?

So you're really shuffling goal posts around to make an argument. About games that are barely worth mentioning even IF they were actually exclusives. You realize that we were talking about 2021. I made a mistake when it comes to The Medium as this was released in 2021 on both Xbox and PlayStation, 9 months apart.

How often is Sifu brought up?And Sifu is on Switch so it can never be referenced in any Sony related thread ever again. Forever.
But I was told Phil was the saviour.Yeah, we need more articles like this. Going an entire generation without any GOTY contenders is one thing, but to start off so poorly is simply unacceptable.
GOW came out in April 2018 when they went out and acquired Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Playground Games, and that State of Decay studio. They had also started initiative around that time. Sony managed to produce a GOTY caliber sequel in 4.5 years since while those Xbox studios are sitting there twiddling their thumbs. PG inexplicably made another Forza Horizon game in the meantime.
The NY Yankees just got swept like bitches in the ALCS. Their owner threw his full support behind the manager and GM almost immediately. Basically absolving them of any blame, and telling the fanbase they are not changing anything. Microsoft has done the same thing over the last 9 years keeping the same management that has consistently failed to deliver. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting things to change is the definition of insanity.

Fixed.This isn’t even console warring.
It’s a fact that their first party output has been a fucking joke since Xbox 360 last few years.
If they can admit that, why can’t you?
Sony hasn’t just overlapped them, but the quality and quantity output of their studios is on a completely different level MS can only dream of right now.
It’s time for them to deliver
they always say that but what i want is results. good resultsi know people are sick of waiting, and exclusives wise its been an abysmal first two years for the console.
good thing is this time there is actually light at end of tunnel, fingers crossed
What’s wrong with Crackhead 3?They released freaking crackhead 3 in the same year Sony released God of War 2018 and Spider-Man. That speaks volumes on their judgement of quality too. It’s not just a quantity issue.
that aged so fucking badly it's funnyWhat’s wrong with Crackhead 3?

Have you seen the software charts in Japan? They're breaking all time sales records.Audiance is no longer interested in your products.
How come in a few years they went from home consoles to phones so fast?
It's not like their work conditions changed overnight.
It's not irrelevant. The whole thread is comparing first party output. But you very frequently see other games brought up all the time that aren't first party, like Kena, Sifu, or even FFXVI. The point we were making is that these often get ignored when other people do it, but treated like Sony titles when Sony does it. Stray is another great example of this. No one acts like Nintendo helped make Neon White, but everyone acts like Sony personally massaged Stray into greatness. Both are published by Annapurna. How often is Sifu brought up?
And we are comparing Xbox vs PlayStation, the fact a game is also on Switch such as Ori and the Will of the Wisps or Disgaea 6 is irrelevant when comparing Xbox and PS.
PR/Monetary gain.What’s wrong with Crackhead 3?

Only problem with this comparison is that the yanks at least have a history of winning. How do you compare? Console generation? 100 million sales? I think the Brooklyn Nets are a better comparison.Yeah, we need more articles like this. i know, but.....and as for the games you are talking, they should have done that during bethesda purchase.
i still do think that taking away titles from ps owners is a bad thing but Bethesda honestly feels right at home with Xbox. Activision is a way harder acquisition to justify though, maybe besides the fact COD during its peak was with Xbox there isn't much of a reason for Microsoft to spring towards them. With Bethesda, they were always more of a PC focused company. First entries of fallout and elder scrolls were windows exclusive (Xbox exclusive in the case of morrowind) and titles like skyrim and morrowind would get DLC earlier than PlayStation. I don't approve of the whole taking games away from Playstation thing, though, but all of the games Bethesda makes and dabbles in are clearly genres that would sell better on Xbox/Windows. Besides, Bethesda is a hotbed of talent so I think the purchase was a good call.
Plenty of PlayStation fans tell Phil and the entire Xbox team their thoughts regularly on Twitter.man i wish phil/matt were reading these forums
If we are talking about purely games being made available, Xbox is doing fantastic. There is tons to play and since Xbox was never really reliant on first party droughts like this, while unfortunate, aren't the biggest deal. I'd rather the games get delayed and be quality than be rushed and ridiculed. It's not irrelevant. The whole thread is comparing first party output. Returnal definitely doesn't fall under that label but Ratchet clearly does. These takes are weird and ironic considering you're doing exactly that to 2021's output from Playstation. They had Returnal and Ratchet & Clank that don't fall under that category yet you guys just dismissed them. Plus the timed exclusives Kena, Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo. None of these games fall under that category you guys talk about.
Also, didn't an indie game won plenty of GOTY awards recently?
Yea, which is so weird. Of course they've had their hits, no one is denying that, but I'm almost 100% sure there are as much talent in the Xbox studios as their are in the PlayStation studios. I refuse to believe there is a big talent gap. It has to be that the talent isn't being utilized properly or isn't being allowed to be as good as they can be. So probably management, that's my guess.Easy to write that article given the recent reviews for Golf of War.
It's true for sure but that's been the case since the Xbox's entry into the console space.
Oh STFU. Most of us were negging on him. It's interesting that NOW we care what Paul Tassi says.
Plenty of PlayStation fans tell Phil and the entire Xbox team their thoughts regularly on Twitter.
Not the point my dude.Playing devil’s advocate, I guess MS could have released Starfield this year, but they did the sensible thing and delayed it, so it could be polished. I was pretty gutted at the time, but I’m lucky enough to own a PS5 and Switch as well, meaning I’ll never experience a complete drought.
so how the fuck did the first one manage to outsell the gamecube? how the fuck did the 360 sell 80+ million? did microsoft brainwash millions of people to invest into their green box instead of a Playstation?Xbox was never really reliant on first party droughts like this, while unfortunate, aren't the biggest deal. I'd rather the games get delayed and be quality than be rushed and ridiculed.
Yeah, but didnt the Nets just fire their manager.Only problem with this comparison is that the yanks at least have a history of winning. How do you compare? Console generation? 100 million sales? I think the Brooklyn Nets are a better comparison.
Balls deep in that console war. All this does is "rally the troops."That's from the official Xbox twitter?

Of course we can deny it. This is NeoGAF. We can deny anything.Indeed, but he's speaking facts we can't deny that.
