They wouldn’t get HALF of that with those unless they were folded into PS+ or whatever Nintendo’s service is.They won't get near 100M, even with both Playstation and Nintendo.

I'm not here to make a summary, and just to be clear I would've said the same thing if the situation was inversed. I'm a PC gamer so I don't care about that war, I bought a PS4 Pro because there were things I wanted to play on it but the last Xbox I got was the very first ^^. I also remember that as soon as Microsoft started to gain momentum with the Xbox they bragged with the famous Xone "TV, Sport, Call of Duty" that led them to collapse. What did Sony do that was “awful”?
How much is it really hurting them though when sales have cratered already? Just food for thought but think about this 4d chess move:@SneakersSO has spoken. Goodluck if you think these clowns on twitter are playing 4D chess. The last thing a company wants to do is let a rumor ride this long where it hurts them. The leaks are out, Phil isn’t shutting down the rumor. There is no reversing this. Phil isn’t coming out next week and saying “just kidding”.
MS were never in a position of being in a monopoly.I'm not here to make a summary, and just to be clear I would've said the same thing if the situation was inversed. Every company in a position of monopoly WILL abuse it's consumer to make more money. That's how it is. Sony being alone (or Microsoft) is not something a gamer should want. Competition is good. In fact it is essential in my opinion.
Problem is Xbox is lacking solid first party games on a regular basis for quite some time now while Sony has been consistent (still lacking compared to previous gen, but far better than Xbox).
Of course this is just my opinion, and I'm not an expert at all.
mfs are selling 5:1 here in Europe and stopped making variates games (like MotorStorm or anything JapanStudio) to focus on their cinematic experiences. Besides they bought the other half of the industry that Microsoft didn’t buy and put it to make GAAS shit. So yeah: a position of dominance makes the upper directive take harmful decisions.Question for those who keep mentioning this "Arrogant Sony" or "Shitty Sony". What exactly do you think Sony is going to do if MS say they aren't going to compete In the console space?
Of course, and this is not what I said. I specified "started to gain momentum". It's not the same and it's just to show how quickly a company who was on a good position, no matter who they are, can start doing shit.MS were never in a position of being in a monopoly.
nightmares? knowing his unhealthy obsession with all things forspoken, he will probably jerk off to that gif.
They are not alone tho and as a PC gamer you should know how much momemtum the platform has gained and how easy it is now to play on PC with handled for example that are only getting better so if Sony gets too wild they will face consequences very quicklyI'm not here to make a summary, and just to be clear I would've said the same thing if the situation was inversed. Microsoft's ChatGPT working hard on the responseA week to workshop the message. Some lowly grunt is typing a draft of the script now.
Without wading into anything else, honestly Sony's PS3 comeback was a sight to see. They drove hard as hell and kept delivering. Meanwhile, MS was all about Kinect when motion was on its way out, and they were offering basically nothing for their core audience. An interesting moment where one party kept fumbling, and the other party kept grabbing the ball and scoring. The fumbles kept going right into the legendary XBOX One reveal debacle, leaving more open goals for Sony. The fact that these sheep keep on seeing Xbox as the good guys saviors and Sony as the evil big corporate (which actually fits Microsoft more), is exactly why Xbox is in its current predicament.
The PS3 had an amazing second half of the generation because Sony had to step up its game.
Meanwhile these losers are celebrating Microsoft's consolidation and them trying to buy their way to the top (Bethesda, Activision, making Starfield exclusive, trying to "spend Sony out of business").

Seems like a reasonable option. Want these games day one on gamepass? Get an Xbox or PC. Want them on PlayStation? Wait a few quarters and buy them at full price. If they can really start delivering great games, big if, but still possible, then gamepass will grow and revenue will grow. There will be some backtracking, Phil answers to Satya and I think he will feedback to him with some opinions but the decision will have been made.
My opinion is they will have a small collection of titles they are porting and then they will say that the core titles will be exclusive for at least 12/18 months then be a case by case basis.
Game Pass made them grow but with a negative ROI. That's a big problem. Even if they were small with a positive ROI, they would be able to expand and grow. Are you reffering to GamePass as the downfall and the thing we were warned about?
Just my opinion but I think GamePass is probably the reason Xbox Series sold as much as it did. If it wasn't for GamePass I think this current change in strategy may have happend a lot earlier. I suppose it was both good and bad for Xbox.
They were totally a bushleague team playing in the pros, kept there by the money. Sony and Nintendo absolutely have made bad decisions and taken the wrong strategic path, many times. But both seemed to see the problems and correct, or try a different tack. MS just seems to not learn, always be reactive, and double down on bad calls.Game Pass made them grow but with a negative ROI. That's a big problem. Game Pass was definitely a huge reason for this downfall. In addition, unnecessary levels of catering to the hardcore fanbase and evangelizers, a childish mentality of the leadership team (both Aaron and Phil, for example), day one PC releases, pretending "console sales don't matter", pretending "game sales don't matter," pretending "engagement is the #1 metric", pretending their mid-tier games are fantastic and 10/10, training their userbase that buying games is wrong, appealing to a cost-conscious consumer base with Series S, etc.
Essentially, pretty much everything they did that Nintendo and PlayStation did not. All of that led to their downfall.
This is a result of lots of accumulated poor decisions.
Yes in an ideal world, it just depends how much ROI MS above XBX wants, they could in all fairness say we want everything everywhere 70% return on day one launches on third party maybe enough for them and 100% on xbx/game pass.Seems like a reasonable option. Want these games day one on gamepass? Get an Xbox or PC. Want them on PlayStation? Wait a few quarters and buy them at full price. True. Also, the scope of your bad decisions also matters. They were totally a bushleague team playing in the pros, kept there by the money. Sony and Nintendo absolutely have made bad decisions and taken the wrong strategic path, many times. But both seemed to see the problems and correct, or try a different tack. MS just seems to not learn, always be reactive, and double down on bad calls.
Ultimately, I think this decision will probably right their ship quite a bit, and they'll be making money hand over fist.
There is not going to be any waiting. All these games will start releasing on day 1 on PlayStation. There will be a few timed exclusives during this transition period, but none once the dust settles and the transition period is over.Seems like a reasonable option. Want these games day one on gamepass? Get an Xbox or PC. Want them on PlayStation? Wait a few quarters and buy them at full price. If they can really start delivering great games, big if, but still possible, then gamepass will grow and revenue will grow.
Were did you ever see me celebrating anything Microsoft have done? Look at my history ffs. I just praise some games from time to time like Hi-Fi Rush that I really loved. By the way God of War 2018 is one of my favorite game ever. Played it on PS4 and couldn't stop listening to the OST for month. Same for Ghost of Tsushima that I really loved or Spider Man (in fact I have the limited edition PS4 Pro) . Wanna me to screen you all my PS4 games? I can't believe I have to justify myself to show that I'm not pro Microsoft just for saying I don't want Sony to be alone in the console market. So you insult me of being a loser, a sheep? Really, are you twelve? The fact that these sheep keep on seeing Xbox as the good guys saviors and Sony as the evil big corporate (which actually fits Microsoft more), is exactly why Xbox is in its current predicament.

For sure Microsoft has been doing some shitty things recently, I'm afraid for the future of Bethesda even if they were already on the downhill. I'm indeed happy at how PC is getting all the love after all with Sony finally releasing games on PC (that's why I didn't bought a PS5). But it's not the same as the console market. I think Nintendo is in it's own things, so Sony would be alone at this specific market. We'll see. They are not alone tho and as a PC gamer you should know how much momemtum the platform has gained and how easy it is now to play on PC with handled for example that are only getting better so if Sony gets too wild they will face consequences very quickly
If one company got arrogant recently its definitely MS
It's gonna be wild in a few years when Xbox keeps seeing 80/20 split between PS and Xbox for their own games and decide to do day and date
I do.....& was not pretty at allDoes anybody remember what GAF was like when Sega announced they were going 3rd party?
I just want to know if it was like this haha

if the rumors are true and Microsoft eventually pivots all in on software....... Getting out of hardware frees up so much cash. they'll just go on a studio buying frenzy......i don't like this. It's gonna be wild in a few years when Xbox keeps seeing 80/20 split between PS and Xbox for their own games and decide to do day and date
Yeah I agree with you, I think it does more damage than it's helping but I could see that being the reasoning behind the silence from their perspective. Maybe save Phils inbox and to take edge off the inevitable shit storm coming their way or something.Cool down? You mean burn down?
Someone catching Phil playing Diablo while the house is burning down, and Sarah posting some Persona 3 tweet, says all there is to say. They can pull their standard ”We hear you” PR speech all they want but their actions tell me they can’t handle this, they’re tone deaf on a historical level and the plan has probably gone on too far internally and now they don’t know how to reverse it, and the damage to the brand is done and the house will keep on crumbling down for a week now.
I’m not even properly invested since I’ve been using Gamepass but I’m still pissed because I realize my whole Xbox games library and playtime history will soon go poof unless I keep having a dusty old box plugged in.
And the Xbox timed exclusivity rumours talk about is pissing me off just as much as the timed exclusives on PS before they come to PC. They just want people to invest where they know they wouldn’t invest if all options were there from the start. They’ll probably start doing some late complete edition bs on the delayed releases just to get people who were there day 1 to double dip too.
See the issue with this retarded logic? And why in this case... its the "new narrative"?It was said multiple times on this forum before - PC is becoming the best platform with most games available that if you have a proper PC you can enjoy in the best quality. Funny enough mostly by blue rats with PCs. So nope, it is not a new narrative. I said it about Sony games months ago myself.
In addition, my friends it is stating a fact - these games truly run best on PC (ok, maybe some time is required for Sony to learn how to develop properly for PC, but with beefed up PC you can brute force better than console performance easily).
Only a real blue rat can argue that if you can afford it, PC is becoming the best platform to play on.
Ignoring everything else I said just to pick this... Can't say I'm surprised. I didn't want to answer this because I was sure some console warrior would come at me but I did not expect to get this type of response. And as expected he couldn't answer the question. Can't say that I'm surprised.

I haven't said these words but to put it very generally, standard monopoly risks apply: denial of choice, price inflation, exploitation (of workers and consumers), economic inefficiency, lack of zeal for innovation.Question for those who keep mentioning this "Arrogant Sony" or "Shitty Sony". What exactly do you think Sony is going to do if MS say they aren't going to compete In the console space?
Ignoring everything else I said just to pick this... Can't say I'm surprised. I didn't want to answer this because I was sure some console warrior would come at me but I did not expect to get this type of response.the PS3 with the terrible PlayStation Network at launch, the "Why would anybody play this?" when talking about retro compatibility, or even the e3 reveal for the PS3 which was... rough to say the least (Afrika, really?), or those fake trailers like Motorstorm/Killzone etc etc... Sony has been doing some shitty things same as Microsoft.
So I don't know, you don't remember the PS3 era with terrible decisions by Sony? If you don't then good for you, I was there with my PS2 (because like it or not, I am a long time Playstation user) and
For real some of you have short memories. And let me say it again because it's hard for you apparently:On a business view, none of them is superior to another. On the gaming side Sony is better than Microsoft.
What do you mean? Another surface device is supposedly coming out this year. I’m confused.
Has anyone checked on Frosk since this bold prediction and how "she" could be handling the potential news to come?
He says we are listening and hear u on his tweet. All info came from xbox fanboys on X or sites linked to Xbox. And now they will have an event with Geoff next week? Yeah I still think this is a marketing trap.@SneakersSO has spoken. Goodluck if you think these clowns on twitter are playing 4D chess. Ffs I'm not here to make a full history of bad decisions made by Sony or Microsoft. I picked this period because I was making a parallel with Microsoft which used those bad decisions by Sony to start to brag. If you have followed gaming news over the last 15 years, you know that Sony have done bad things during the PS4 and even the PS5 era (just like Microsoft, I feel the need to precise it because how sensitive some people are).So all you could come up with are things from the PS3's reveal and launch window, out of a 8 years long generation.
As I said Nintendo is in it's own things. They are not direct competitors of Playstation and Xbox and this is PRECISELY why they are abusing their position with, like you said, no price cut on hardware or games and many other things (again, I'm not here to make a full history of shitty decisions)![]()
Meanwhile the Switch is on its way to outsell the PS2, hasn't had a price cut, day one games are still being sold full price, but sure, Sony's questionable decisions from 2007 make them sooo arrogant and awful.
Oooh bad Sony.
(Sony aren't saints by the way, but this whole narrative gotta stop).
If it is a marketing stunt, Xbox leadership is even dumber than I thought. He says we are listening and hear u on his tweet. All info came from xbox fanboys on X or sites linked to Xbox. And now they will have an event with Geoff nexg week? Yeah I still think this is a marketing trap.
