Ah...ok. Yeah, he has left out a lot of info. Suddenly there are four different consoles tied to his account, one of which was sold, and he says Sony may be trying to protect his account. That would seem to be a huge missing piece of this puzzle that he posted on X, but decided not to share here.

There was one guy here, maybe it was the other place I can’t remember but they got temp suspension because they took a photo of one of the nude statues in Assassin Creed Odyssey and shared it in a group.
So it’s definitely possible but, a permanent ban when you’re just automatically uploading and nobody else sees it, I find that unlikely because we’d hear about this more often because there’s probably loads of pervs out there with plenty of screenshots of these type from many different games.

This whole thing is a mess. Relying on others to be able to have access to your media collection, games/movies and what not.
Another reason why PC is king. There's always a way to circumvent DRM if something goes wrong, so at least you can never lose your single player games. And there's GOG, once you buy it it's your's forever as long as you still use an operating system that's compatible with it. And even that can be circumvented (using emulation, abstract layers, etc).
I haven't bought a console since the Wii/360 days. I can still play all the games offline, even the ones i have on XBOX Arcade (which were digital only). So how is gaming on consoles today? Are games really tethered to an online account out of your control?

Zero control over your library, waiting for patches that improve fps or visuals that may never come, paying for online, overpriced games, trash upscaling solutions, no control over your hardware.
I really don't understand how console bros do it. I know consoles are convenient but time to move on seriously. Even kids these days build gaming PCs.

My guess is OP was using a chain of 4 ps5 working at the same time to create a super evil computer, inspired by saddam hussein, or maybe the last mission impossible movie. Sony corpo spies found out and proceeded to ban him, thus saving the world once again.

I’m glad you’re getting somewhere.
But everyone was right to think there was more to this that you left out, and selling consoles without deactivating is something you have learned the hard way to not do. You wipe that shit until it’s brand new.
As for the Twitter thing, mods may honour your wishes as a courtesy but the blunt truth is that when you post into the public space then it’s open for anyone to see and screenshot without permission. If it’s a locked down account then that’s a different discussion.

That doesn't mean it's fake. Just because OP is unable to articulate answers to the arbitrary questions being thrown at him, is not evidence of anything (beyond maybe OP isn't a good communicator, and there could be reasons for that).
OP could also be incorrect for the reason for the ban, but the ban still be real. Of course, it could also be all fake, but that isn't the point.

I bet I've built more gaming PCs than anyone here. I paid > 400 dollars a month for a T1 line out in the woods to play WoW for 6 years. I am a networking admin for a living....
I retired to consoles.
When I game on a PC, it takes me out of the immersion because I'm always worried with my clocks, my performance, my mods, my crashes. Also, my bro is not a PC person but loves consoles and we like to play together.
Sure it costs a little more, but if something isn't convenient it isn't sustainable. The fact that it costs more generally also is a hit against it. As you stated, as rudimentary as building a PC is, some people will just never do it and will only buy prebuilt. Software is getting better and MS and Valve have been working on convenience for years. Not there yet but one day. Windows and/or Steam OS will be key to eliminating consoles but neither software is there yet.
Imagine booting into a PC and having the same experience as the PS5 out of the box without any up front configuration, no need to piecemeal components, BUT also with all the advantages(user mods, multiple platforms, OC settings, ini files) of PC in a convenient format, all initiated by you setting up windows with a controller, no mouse no keyboard, UI of every game auto booting into console mode.
Piracy and DRM circumvention are things that would make the PC market lag behind the console market in an apples to apples comparison, and these things can also be eliminated with software. Be careful what you wish for. If you do successfully lobby everyone to drop consoles and move to PC, PC gaming would change, and likely not in ways that provide more freedom, probably less. You are inviting the industry into your PC and you think OS providers won't lock you down when you are no longer a side project, but the main show? They will if they can get away with it.
Might be the dog chasing the bus here. What advantages do you see for the industry if everyone moved to PC? At the very least, PC would become marginally more restrictive, no? Sometimes it is good to have multiple options.
Also, if everyone got cheap games on PC and nobody paid these higher prices, what would that do to the industry?
