yeah Metal seems the big one, and although this is probably more obscure, i don't think they ever had a classical music station either in any gta
Classical used to be in it.

I dont care if its not underrepresented, I want more Lazlow. I want a station dedicated to Lazlow. Not a little radio segment with him in it like they did in GTA5. I'm replaying GTA4 right now and I'm dying of laughter from his radio station Integrity 2.0.

Hey come on now. Who wouldn't want to cruise around in a decent ride while listening to this:

Hell Yeah, Westcoast.

Metal I guess. Since it's not on your list
🤘
The only Time we had some good metal tracks was in the biker’s DLC in GTA IV.
Max cavalera as the radio host was really cool.

I Hope there will be some good extreme metal songs in GTA VI (Black/death/thrah metal, death/grind/hard core) and a classic station (heavy metal , punk, hard rock)

Anselmo, Benton, Jasta as Hosts would be perfect.

One can dream…

Were SimCopter / Streets of SimCity by Maxis the first games with an in-game radio station? They came out in 1996 / 1997, predating GTA III by several years, and had a variety of music stations (classical, bluegrass, techno, metal) with pretty hilarious fake commercials between tracks.

I don't know of an earlier game that had the feature, LMK if you can think of one.

No idea if Rockstar was inspired by this or just came up with the same idea separately.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
Classical jazz, avant garde jazz, bebop, just lots of jazz sub-genres.

I like jazz. I’d like there to be more.

Gta iv has an entire reggae station.

Reggaeton is a Caribbean Latino bastardization of Reggae—not that I'm into Reggae, because I'm not at all. I’m indifferent to it, though I do enjoy some Dub every now and then. But yeah, Reggaeton is just trash. I will say, though, I will listen to it ironically in GTA VI. It’s kind of like how I’d listen to Britney Spears on IV while mowing down pedestrians and cops—it just felt right. I can guarantee that there will be a dedicated Reggaeton station in GTA VI, I will even change my avatar to whatever you like for a month if there isn't.

For people saying Classical hasn't appeared since GTA3 clearly didn't play Liberty City Stories, the PSP game as the station returned in that too with some unique choices

JNR in GTA IV was great for this

Jazz nation radio is great. Jazz is not my primary music of choice but i love me some good jazz and JNR was awesome for this.

This is the more mellow kind House music. It's not quite the same as early 90's techno/rave. The later is more energetic and has weirder, more industrial sounding samples.

Check my examples on my previous post.

Bardcore. Hands down. Nearly any genre can be transformed into Bardcore, making it a perfect fit. Since GTA’s music selection typically reflects what would realistically be on the radio in its setting, adding a station that reimagines modern hits with medieval instruments would be hilarious.

Trip Hop

I reckon it would be sweet driving round Miami listening to a bit of Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky.

Maybe some Cibo Matto and Sneaker Pimps.

Does Dubstar count? Chuck that in too!

Just for example, burning rubber away from a scene of horror to the last couple of minutes of this:

Metal.
the most we got is some very mainstream stuff in Vice City. but in San Andreas there was less, and then in 4 and 5 it was almost gone as a genre.

I would love an actual metal radio station with some song picks that aren't just nostalgic Iron Maiden or Hair Metal songs.
best case would be a radio station specifically focused on modern European Metal like Blind Guardian, Sleep Token, Sabaton, Jinjer, Orden Ogan, Dimmu Borgir, Wintersun, Cypecore... stuff like that. I bet it would also be cheaper than just licensing another Iron Maiden song, or another big mainstream hit from 20 years ago. and since Rockstar seems to be unfathomably stingy when it comes to renewing licenses, that would also be in their interest.
The Lost and the Damned DLC had LCHC (Liberty City Hardcore) hosted by Max Cavalera, and it fucking ruled.

...have you checked out GTA radio stations before? Some of those bands you've listed have actually appeared before.
