Is it really good though?

Lots of Xbox folks hype up games like avowed, Starfield, and Hellblade and those were all big nopes to me.

I hope Indy isn’t some overrated title just because it was on Xbox first

Lets just say, as I know this will work for you. It's as good as any Sony release this gen outside of Astro Bot.

I think I already mentioned this to you.

Indi is antithesis of what you get in Uncharted/ usual Playstation games.

There is only one very brief section where I was funneled through a linear level where I did some 60 seconds of walking.

Also it doesn’t sets any meaningful objectives for player. You won’t get any meaningful exposition when you reach your story objective. It will just take you to next area.

A lot of it is, create your own adventure. Find stuff (quests/ puzzles) do them if you want.

Avowed is waaaay better suited to Playstation players.

We’ll see, clearly that’s not the case in terms of review scores

From the outside looking in, Indy seems like an Uncharted 1 situation to me at best, and that’s what I’m hoping for. A good game with a lot of charm but could easily be improved greatly by a sequel that addresses some flaws

Combat is concerning a bit (not a big stealth dude, and the stealth that’s there seems kinda braindead)

But I love Indiana jones, love puzzle solving, love the diverse and beautiful locations

I still think it'll still be way too slow for you, pacing wise. You'll be bored before you even leave The Vatican. And going in with your arsenal of Uncharted comparisons isn't going to help at all either.

Gamefly it, don't buy it.

I’ll buy it and give it a shot, I love adventure games and don’t mind a little slowness

Not expecting Uncharted style gameplay, but I hope it captures the same adventure feel since that’s a big reason why I love UC

yeah it does, it should be good. there are not many games similar to it. starts fine, longer it goes more annoying the gameplay feels.
but its like 25hrs, doesn't outstay its welcome too much

Yes, we need a boycott on Xbox games on PS5 as long as they add paid early access.

You’re pretty much also calling for PS5 owners to boycott EA’s FC, NBA 2K, Madden and Call of Duty games. Most probably GTA 6 when it shows up too.
Good luck with that.

Silly for M$ to cannibalize their own sales with Indy and Forza within 10 days of each other (assuming the release date is accurate). One might think they are different audiences but there is always overlap, I plan on buying both but Indy is the priority and Forza will thus be acquired on sale.
