i think so too. i mean it'll be quicker and cheaper for people to generate them for whatever they need. but i think artists who use physical mediums will stick around. it's like everything else.... things go digitally because it's more convenient and in some situations offer better quality.

when i was younger i wanted to get into photography. that'd have been a waste of time and money if i did. there is still a place for photography but AI has/will replace a lot of it.

What have you been using recently with the stuff you’ve been posting here? It looks like whatever model/service it is, it’s not beholden to content filters. Does that mean you’re doing local processing on your GPU or something?

my AI stuff??

comfyui with SD 1.5 and flux1 dev. different work flows. i really liked flux at first but getting the hang of SD 1.5 now. i'm not using the standard SD 1.5 model/checkpoint as it sucks (imo but i know shit). flux is good but feels more limited.

and yes i'm doing it locally on my PC. i have a 5090 so 32GB VRAM to play with. also my RAM (not video) is using up to ~42GB but I have 64GB.

just fucking around and experimenting. using CivitAI.com to get inspiration and prompt ideas.

not long. seconds. depends on batch and steps. a lot of images are messed up so it might take a while to find one that looks normal (no missing/extra limbs etc lmao)

I’ve got a launch model with the bullshit 10gb, so I’m probably screwed. I don’t really mess with image gen much anyway, but it certainly would be nice to not have to deal with copyright/content restrictions.

10GB should be fine. i think there are settings you can use that will work within that. not sure but 6-8GB should work. depends on the configuration
