Half-Life.
Is RotT really a success?
I still want to play Duke Nukem 3D Reloaded![]()

For those that want a new Heretic/Hexen game check out Hellraid and Hexen Edge of Chaos.
Heretic please.
Such an underrated game.Strife mite b cool for a modern update. Seems like a kind of game that'd benefit greatly from a modern direction.
Never heard of Immercenary, but there was a Gamasutra article about it.
Making a Prototype of the Future: The Development of Immercenary
Might wanna remove that man^
Or at least tag it NSFW and take it out of image tags.
This may not count because it was a mod...but one of my favorite single player FPSes of all time:

The sequel seemed to fall off the face of the Earth although wikipedia says the developer became very ill :-(
Agreed. But I think I would give Gearbox one more shot at a game. But not with Duke or any other beloved franchise. A new FPS franchise. I want to see them develop a game from the ground up. Not passed around, no development hell, no delays, etc.Shadow Warrior.
Oh wait.
Real answer: I want another Duke Nukem game, but I want it to take a nod from the RoTT reboot and just focus on the core tenants; I'd prefer an entirely new game -- something that happens after DNF, but a total recall of DN3D-style gameplay, but contemporary where it's appropriate. I don't have any faith in Gearbox anymore to make this happen after A:CM, so I am a sad human being.
Quake 4 was a sequel to 2. I enjoyed what I played.I want to see a true successor to Quake 3 Arena, I mean honestly all we need is a nice graphic boost to make it modern but keep the game just as fast and dont change anything about the formula. Make sure it also has lots of mod support so people can make awesome custom maps/modes and shit just like back in the old days. Also for fucks sake keyboard mouse only.. dont slow the game down for shitty controllers, you need to be able to strafe jump and rocket jump.
More successors to Quake 1 and 2 would be awesome as well.

Single player was fun. Thats what you should get it for.I never played it outside the multiplayer demo which seemed soul crushingly awful. I never got to try the single player but the demo was enough for me to never buy it.
It was okay. However it felt like a Doom 3 mod to me. Monster closets and all, didn't feel very Quake 2-ish. It wasn't god awful, but it wasn't a Quake game in my opinion.I never played it outside the multiplayer demo which seemed soul crushingly awful. I never got to try the single player but the demo was enough for me to never buy it.
Kingpin? yes please - I'd take a sequel of that over pretty much anything bar NOLF

none of that strogg shit that we got in Quake 2 and 4. It needs to have the original slipgate setting that was never revisted again. this game is still one of my favourite FPS games of all time.
This. So many times over this. Quake 1 continued using id Tech 5, targeting high end PCs. High speed nightmare-infused gun-play that rocks you to your core.![]()

Why do we need to revive old franchises? Can't we just make new games that are reminiscent of the old ones without using old famous names as a crutch?
There is only one correct answer.
