Did you get an atx 3.1 PSU with the “new” cable?![]()

Just inspected my cables and 100% fine so far and I have stressed the shit out of it
Now wonky drivers and getting some 1odd performance here and there is a different story
Did you get an atx 3.1 PSU with the “new” cable?
Ok it says ATX 3.1 on the Thermaltake PSU Toughpower SFX 1000W so maybe I am okDid you get an atx 3.1 PSU with the “new” cable?
Now I'm thinking it'll be a good thing if it sells out and I can't get one for a few months. I can find out if there's any "surprises" with it. (The people that do get it will be the beta testers.)great! Now i'm anxious about getting a 5070 ti. Thanks Novideo
Maybe it will just have 3 8pin connectors. I have not seen any rumors yet.great! Now i'm anxious about getting a 5070 ti. Thanks Novideo
Oh no you're not. Did you know the latest driver update was just pulled, because some GPUs were bricked?Ok it says ATX 3.1 on the Thermaltake PSU Toughpower SFX 1000W so maybe I am ok

Nah, NVidia has been quiet about the driver issue, other than acknowledging it, just messing with you.
didn't the 4070 also use 12VHPWR? I thought every 4000 series card used thatMaybe it will just have 3 8pin connectors. I have not seen any rumors yet.
Ok you should have the pins that protect against improper connection. 12v-2x6 versus 12VHPWR, it’s minor but might keep us safe as long as the cables don’t melt lol.Ok it says ATX 3.1 on the Thermaltake PSU Toughpower SFX 1000W so maybe I am ok
My 4070 has 2 8pin connectors. It also dosn't require much power though.didn't the 4070 also use 12VHPWR? I thought every 4000 series card used that
either way, it's just not good looking. I want to upgrade to Nvidia but i'm not ready to spend twice what I wanted to pay just for a backup GPU

Fire is just free RGB.No problem with 5080 and lower tier cards. For 4090 and 5090 this power connector is operating too close to theoretical limits.
4090 and 5090 should use two power connectors...
It’s because the differences between 3.0 and 3.1 are very minor that many 3.0 already meet or exceed 3.1 so the manufacturers have jumbled it all up.Does anyone understand if this info means that the PSU is atx 3.0 or 3.1?
Sorry for (probably) dumb question..

When we pulled our old HVAC and installed different zone heat pumps in the house I am pretty sure I recall them saying these heat pumps would run on that![]()
Almost 23 amps going through that shitty cable. (edited, not enough for an AC)
I don't have any Nvidia stuff at the moment (except a 1650 in a laptop) but it was pretty obvious that a lot of it was user error. There are a lot of 'enthusiasts' out there that have minimal skills but over inflated egos. What has always bothered me the most about the controversial 12VHPWR connector is the people who defended it and blamed other users for “not knowing how to connect a cable”. Fanboyism sucks, and I say that as an Nvidia user for several generations.

Another one:
Not reporting on the same case, HIS cable burned too with the 5090 FE
