5070 ti reviews

Ahh but think positive, with all that AI improvement you could run a miner and generate more money than before thus in theory earn back the money you paid!

I don't think Nvidia can gimp these cards anymore than they already have.

who am I kidding, of course they could... and people would still buy

I thought this could beat a 4090

Funnily enough, that was the 5070 that Jensen said had 4090 performance.

Soooo buy the last stock of the 4070ti super before it explodes in price. xD

Although it already is out of stock basically everywhere. Same with the 4080 super.

This new gen is laughable. It's the 40 series refresh.

So where does its performance sit between the 4000x cards? 4070ti and 4080?
Very close to 4080/4080 Super, but like tiny bit slower?
4080 was 1200, 4080 Super was 1000... and at $750, that's like another price cut of same OG 4080 card.
At least 4070 Ti beat 3080 like 19%? It's sad that 70Ti cannot even outperform previous 80 class card... like all this 50 series card is like side-stepping, than moving forward.

Perf per dollar seems to be exactly the same or lower than it was on 4000 series launch day. This must be a first.

$1000 worth of Nvidia still buys you the exact same amount of performance, at best. And we are stuck with this gauntlet for at least a couple more years. At least modern, power hungry games mostly suck ass, so the FOMO won’t be too bad outside of GFX hobbyists.

The laptops seem even worse. 40 series mobile is actually solid. The 4080M outperforms a 4070 desktop. I own one and I'm constantly surprised at the framerates I get from this tiny thing.

Watched J2C's brutally scathing video. If you don't want to, watch the last few minutes for the conclusion.

There are so many people that desperately want AMD to step up and take back some market share. But there seems to be little hope of that happening. I still have hope, though. 9070/XT as a decent, affordable card.

What an ongoing shit show. And Jensen had temerity to compare base 5070 to a 4090…

AMD has such a great chance to gain market share, but I am sure they will f it up.

“Here is our 5070Ti equivalent card at a $50 discount.”

Just like we expected back at jan reveal, 5070ti would be quite good price/perf, considering it's 16gigs of vram on top and at proper 750usd msrp would be worth getting, ofc with current price hike it has terrible price/perf so gotta wait few months till we get more avaiability/price hiking calms down.

TLDR: Atm value of all the cards is terrible, except 5090 that is BiS and is appealing to non budget concious customers ^^

I now want to come back in time and buy that 4090 I passed on. 🤦‍♂️

Unfortunately, I think AMD is now going to price 9070/9070 XT that might have been $500-600 against 5070 Ti's real world price of $900-1000. In their minds the 9070 XT could now be worth $700-800. "$200 cheaper than a 5070 Ti". Same with 5070 if it continues the trend of paper launch with manufacturer scalping. $550 MSRP could mean $700 shelf price.

They should honestly do shit availability for a few weeks and fake msrp's lol. Price gouge, skew reviews, drive up demand. Launching at the price they honestly want for and dropping when demand dies down blows up in there face. Just SAY it's $600 and go against Nvidia on level ground.

Yep. And now AMD will be in the same situation where the new GPU is hardly beating the previous GPU offered around the same price (7900 XT after mid-life price cut).

Sadly, it will probably be some variation of that. Nvidia created this shitshow and AMD will imitate them, but with a $50-100 discount.

How is the GPU market not collapsing right now?

I'm stuck with a 3060 12GB. In order for me to do a worthy upgrade i need to pay at least as much as a whole PS5. Without even getting more VRAM than what i have now. That would get me a non-ti 4070 at best. Anything lower than that just isn't worth the trouble.

I said this before but i feel like this generation will be the last for me as a PC gamer. The PS6 will be the first console i will get after the XBOX 360.
The console manufacturers aren't somehow exempt from the developments in the semiconductor sector. Prepare for the smallest power increase ever bundled with a whole lot of ai fakery for the PS6.... Classic scaling is dead, at least if you want somewhat acceptable prices.

I think 600 v 750 and 450 v 550 is right where they should (claim to? lol) come in. These rumors of 650 and 750 are horrible. Very hopefully placeholder prices. Though if they are markups and the msrp is still lower, that just according to plan lol.

if it was realy 750$ it not bad, its around 2x faster than 700$ ps5pro (yeah I know its only gpu but it shows value would be there in this price point)

I think their price difference will be a little over $100 but yes nvidia charging like this means AMD can too, especially if they have even just slightly better VRAM.

I gambled on a 4070ti super last month for £600 and I feel even more satisfied with my decision now.
Good catch. Doubt you'd find a better deal in the next few years.

I got a 4070Ti a couple years ago for £600 and that is a fine GPU outside of the limited VRAM. Something that the Ti Super fixed. This generation seems like a dud. Unless you care for Ai workloads, that is.

Fuck the GPU market in 2025.

I hear ta but my GPU is 4 years old. Seems like the 5070ti is about as good as I’m gonna get if I buy A new GPU this year. Or wait another year to see what Nvidia got next. I think m gonna wait till summer to get one, seee how the prices pan out. Maybe I can get one for closer to 600-650. A GPU will never be with more than that to me no matter what it can do.

I'm thinking given how things have gone from the 40 series to the 40 super to the 50 series than the 60 series will only be incremental gains. So that would mean if you can get a decent price on a current card you might as well jump. (I mean except for the 90 series, at least those show some decent gains.) At least my plan is the same as yours, wait until I can get a good deal. (It'll be an improvement over the 3070.)

Yeah I say just wait till later in the year. Probably see them on newegg for around 600, by then.

After seeing these I feel ok sticking with a 4070ti super for a while.
At this point everyone should just up the power limit of their 4000 series card you'll get the
raster and RT difference minus the 4x framegen but hey, at least you aren't spending hundreds of dollars for a glorified software update 🫢🫢🫢
