This kind of occasional jank isn't game breaking for me, it was part of Fallout 4's charm. I enjoyed the gameplay loop and every now and again I'd burst out laughing at something like this.

Gameplay is awesome, shooting is almost on par with pure fps games (hard to believe but we wil lsee i guess), main story and side quest's are amazing. Console perfomance is good, presentration is great. People who preordered and are worried now because some bad looking leaks. DON'T BE. Game is worth every penny

Yeah. I managed to watch it all. He was pretty stoked about it. Didn't really have any negatives to say about it in terms of bugs and was very much 'Don't sit on this'

Just the main story though. He said the Side quests are extensive. he was talking about 100 hours gameplay, plus multiple endings. I wonder if he's the same dude at Era who mainlined it on easy?

Melee is incredibly difficult to pull off in first person, the only game I feel kinda did it alright was Dark Messiah. And no, Kingdom Come is not a good example of first person melee.

Exactly! In the previous CP:2077 previews, a lot of folks said the melee COULD be better. That it was the largest concern. I'm sure it'll continue to be tweaked over time. I don't think it looks awful from this recent footage, just that it could be better, sure.

I keep hearing this talk about there being three "main" quests running in parallel and completing any of them without others will give you the ending, so if it's true then multiply that 11 number by 3.

I'm disappointed no-one bit on my lovely post tbh, their mods are the keyboard warrior equivalent of Kim Jong Un.
I like some of the people on Ree, but the way they are not allowing anyone to enjoy a game is toxic and worse than the "transphobia" seen in Cyberpunk, which there is none btw.
Their thread on transphobia is the best comedy I've witnessed since the last Ricky Gervais stand up I watched.

Days gone was divisive... I think it was a turd with bad character, story and shitty open world gameplay but people say it's amazing.
I think Death Stranding was amazing but people think it was a turd.

Looking at the footage it doesn't push the envelope on anything or revolutionize open world games at all. It's still the same janky, poorly scripted, bad AI, questionable handling, shitty AI open world zombie NPC collectathon fetch quest fest we've seen a million times already.
The funny thing is I'll probably enjoy this stuff, but I enjoy Rage 1, Rage 2 & even Fallout 4 as well (I love Skyrim & Dying Light for what it's worth). But I'm not blind, i.e. what we're seeing is freaking rough in every aspect.

That's where I'm at, and I'm feeling the exact same way.
This game has been in development for a LONG time. It's also CDPR's largest and most ambitious game yet.
That being said, people are going to go into this expecting the mecca of games, and that fault falls on them. No game is perfect, and every title has its flaws. ESPECIALLY open world games. When I think of an "open world" messy game, I think of Dead Island. It was definitely a little messy and janky, but I completed it and still had a lot of fun with it.
I've always been a huge fan of CP:2077's universe and aesthetic. So no matter what happens, I'm sure I'll enjoy it regardless. I'm sure the launch product will present itself just fine, but if you wanted to nitpick issues it could be done fairly easily.

I have wanted a first person open world Blade Runner game since the first time I watched the original film and ever since 2049 my need for it has only grew, this game will deliver on that so I'm a happy chappy.
People have too lofty ambitions but CDPR themselves have dubbed this the next generation of open world titles or something along those lines in trailers so they're just as much to blame in a way.
Dead Island and Dying Light were both jank fests, both two of my most enjoyable experiences in gaming, as long as I have fun I feel like I got my money's worth. I even managed to get a fun 15 hours out of Anthem for crying out loud!

Why the fuck it still does not have procedural animations (that moment when you shot the guy and he makes the "whip move"), dayum I expected more.... They are using some super tech for facial movement and...that's cool, but why not this, there are middlewares for that....

And yet they can still maintain the characters there at high resolution
From my observation the density here in Cy2077 looks abit low...
