That announce trailer looks insane WTF, it makes NTE look like an amateur project.
Been hyped for this game since it was 1st announced and it looks 10x better now than it did before. If they pull it out, this game will be massive.
yeah the trailer looks really good, feels like we're hitting a wave of genshin competitors rn that are like the wave of mmos that tried to chase wow. but this game actually looks really promising as it seems to have a good amount of effort put into it, i'm hoping it's not just skin deep

So Genshin meets Astral Chain meets GTA?

Also... Am I crazy or the song from the trailer is extremely similar to this one:

Nobody:

China: Here's 2 very similar looking open world wacky anime action RPG's at the same time! (Project Mugen Ananta and Neverness to Everness)
ANANTA looks considerably better than NTE IMO. It has a cohesive art direction and the characters feel like they belong to that world instead of being random vtubers transplanted into a generic anime style urban world.

If Netease manages to pull this off... oh boy, we're in for a treat!

Either this will be a game which will shake/shock the gaming scene (more or less like Genshin) or this will fail hard.
An Anime GTA from China?!

Any Idea on what platforms this will be released and when?

No release date or window yet, but we know it's coming to PS5, PC and mobile.

ANANTA is in development for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. A release date has yet to be announced.

I have to agree. NTE looks decent but it has an aura of...generic-ness to it that feels like it's just chasing fads. Ananta seems like it actually has some sort of vision from the team, it's hard to describe but I think you really hit the nail on the head on saying it has a cohesive art direction, even though the environment seems to have a degree of random shit happening it gave me vibes of the kind of wacky world building from old school flash skits like Vinnie Veritas used to do.

At first I thought, looks like NTE, only a few seconds later, NTE looks so boring and uninspired in comparison. NTE has this Unreal Engine asset flip look. Plus these characters that don't match this world. Ananta, on the other hand, looks very interesting, I'm surprised at what you can do there and how lively the world looks.

I personally don’t like the new name. Liked Mugen better. Hope this comes out soon and delivers. One thing I don’t like about ZZZ, is that the world seems so closed off, compartmentalized. It’s just seems like I spend most of the time navigating through menus.

I'm impressed at how many things seem to be interactable (but it's a trailer so how do you really know for sure). I like the idea of building and adding as time goes by. If they can stick the landing here, it could be a breakout hit.

Actually, that’s one of the things the devs said they were focused on. The reveal trailer showed plenty of environment interaction and such, and an interview shortly after that the devs said that was something they intended to make sure they delivered on since they highlighted it in their big reveal.

Looks pretty interesting, but it’s probably a gatcha game with stamina, currencies and all that jazz. And I don’t have the patience for that shit.

I prefer the Anata girls. Waifus FTW.

Great pair of images to compare and contrast.

Frankly although I give Rockstar's team, props for the insane levels of detail and variation, I find Ananta's balance of variable render detail, subtle reuse of a far smaller pool of assets, overall scene management actually even more impressive.

Its more than just a pleasing aesthetic, seriously take a long careful look at the image and you can see how economical it is with asset reuse, and how incredibly well balanced it is in terms of how the image is constructed. Talk about maximizing bang for the buck... that's the true ART of videogame presentation.

Great vibes with the music but... shamelessly copying Cyberpunk, GTA6 and Spiderman tells me the game will be very shallow.

I have very cautious feelings about this game so far. For me, there are two big red flags. The first is that this is a game from Netease, and these guys have never been distinguished by humanity in terms of donations, most likely in the game you can buy everything that is possible through the store for money. The second red flag - all I see so far is a jumble of ideas that they took from other games, I don’t see so to speak some kind of feature that would be from the game itself, so on the one hand it looks nice, but on the other hand it looks extremely boring and lacking unique ideas. So far it looks very much like a Gacha game made according to a manual - we take mechanics from popular games, add Gacha, collect money.
