No shame at all because maybe they are not my cup of tea\genre or i just don't think they are that great, stuff like botw, unchy4 or cringe ups simulator.

Not ashamed, but I‘m not proud that I didn‘t enjoy The Witcher 3 for the sole reason that I didn‘t like Geralts voice. It always reminds me of a smoker/drinker in his 50s.

If a game doesn't click doesn't click... that said I have completed multiple games I didn't enjoy the same way I dropped 70€ games after a few minutes and I didn't force myself through just cause I expend the 70€.
(I preordered Anthem and couldn't stand how bad it performed in the main town)

Nope. I was puzzled why so many liked Ghosts of Tsushima though. I put about 5 hours into it this last week, and it was nothing but a reskinned Assassin’s Creed. So I dropped it and went on to a way more fun Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart.
Ghosts is possibly the most overrated game I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing. Feel like PS4 and now PS5 has produced a few of these overrated games (Ghosts, Spiderman 2, God of War, Horizon, Last of Us 4).

Ashamed of not enjoying a game? Fuck no! But I do wish I could enjoy the Persona series of games. It’s not that I don’t enjoy them- I just need the time to dedicate to them to get the most out of them.

Maybe he play as a tanky warrior with shield so sekiro and bb are not really his cup of tea??!

I have too much shame and will probably never play any of those porn games on steam. I will look at the preview pics/vids though. But I will never have one tied to my good name.

I have no shame in saying Goldeneye sucks, always has.

Is that the one where you control the son of dina and jessie and you have to hunt the doctor that ruin his sex-change surgery?

More technical strategy games like Civilization. And Flight Simulator.

They seem like good games, but I feel I'm not up to learning how to play it.

I've been shamed for it, but I'm not ashamed of it.

Sometimes, I will hold my tongue about certain games that I am not that fond of, or avoid explaining why I didn't like them that much. But that's not shame or embarrassment on my part. I'm just avoiding the personal attacks/insults that come when you go against the grain of a devoted fanbase. Some people get butthurt about criticism of their beloved "masterpiece," and they start with the insults. I am too old for that nonsense, so I just keep my thoughts to myself.

Same here. Likewise, there are several games I enjoyed that others shit on. Ultimately it isn't worth fighting over personal opinions and preferences so I try to refrain from that.

I try, but then someone makes yet another Final Fantasy thread and I start feeling the rise to post something flippant about the series, then take a breath, let it out, hit the ignore button. My ignore list is full of Final Fantasy threads.

I don't remember finishing a single Shmup in my gaming career. Not even something like Solar Striker on the Gameboy, which i think was on the easy side for the genre's standards.

My brain just doesn't process the task of avoiding multiple bullets coming from any direction very well. This also affects Run & Gun games like Contra and Metal Slug but overall these are more doable for me. Except for Cuphead, i could never beat that.
You need to be a special kind of Masochist to finish Cuphead.

Despite being both Christian and obsessed with HRE history and culture, the combat in Kingdom Come Deliverance never clicked with me enough to play through it. To make matters worse, Eastern European Jankware is basically my favorite genre.
