Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker died on Friday at 5 pm ET from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash Thursday night in Miami, Walker's agent Ron Butler announced, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Before Walker's passing, Rapoport reported that Walker spent all night in surgery. Butler, told reporters the corner was "fighting for his life" and remained in intensive care after surgery.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, "Walker was not wearing a helmet."

Citing police Thursday night, NBC 6 reported Walker was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted to the trauma unit.

May he rest in peace.

Dang, I read that his bike had no lights while he was wearing dark clothes and no helmet.

RIP, but damn this didn't have to happen.

TAJ

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
And to not wear a helmet I guess?

A good portion of the time it's going to keep you alive just long enough to know what it feels like to have your body become a shattered ruin.
If I rode a bike instead of drove then I'd have been killed horribly (helmet or not) 23 years ago while waiting at a red light. Instead I only had minor whiplash.

Read this earlier, RIP. He was going to get his chance this year too, he barely played as a 4th rounder last year. More importantly though this is absolutely tragic and I feel horrible.

While neither of those things were smart, I read that the car that hit him ran a stop sign.
