Best Optimized Modern Games

With the upcoming Doom Dark Ages, I decided to hop back into my DLC progression Doom Eternal, and was just reminded how fucking well this game runs. Granted i have a nice card (3080) ,I'm getting300 FPS on 1440p. Thats absolutely insane, id tech guys are just straight wizards with the image quality involved and amount of shit going on.

That being said, who are some other excellent developers / games that come to mind that are demanding graphically but run like butter. A few come to mind.

-RDR2 (GTA V runs fine, but nothing like what i see in RDR2 for as good as it looks)
-Arcane Titles, Deathloop, Dishonored games -granted the art style in these carries more than the image quality, and i have no idea how poorly redfall might have run because i didnt touch that garbage.
-Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 - Not everyone may have the same results, but i was impressed with the FPS on this with as much crazy shit is going on

I wouldn't consider games like Cyperpunk 2077 in here, although it offers great DLSS options and ways to keep frame rates high, there's all sorts of visual issues that arent a huge deal but do detract from the quality.

You mention Dishonored, but Dishonored 2 ran like DOG SHIT at launch and for quite a while after. It's fine now, but it was not a good example of the tech.

Doom Eternal looks stunning for how well it performs even with RT turned on. Indiana Jones def. gets a shout out too, game looks incredible. I think Avatar looks amazing and runs shockingly well considering it's visual splendor.

Super mario odyssey is up there for me. 900p at a constant 60fps with high-end switch graphics is actually pretty damn impressive. Especially when compared to the better selling pokemon games

I mean, I love Legends Arceus but it absolutely looks and runs like ass in comparison

900p/30fps does leave more to be desired
Buuuut its still an upgrade compared to the olden days.

My favorite zelda game is majoras mask but that ran like absolute ass on the n64

Also credit where its due, botw’s landscape technique of keeping the land look massive without looking flat was genius

This is less noticeable in totk however since you spend so much time in the sky

Indiana Jones comes to mind for what I recently played

Also one that dates a bit more but is still mind blowing, Half Life Alyx.

The graphics it has on VR and the hardware requirements for it, pure insanity for optimization.

Indiana Jones running at 1800p 60fps with RT AO is pretty impressive I'd say.
but iD Tech is generally hard to beat when it comes to performance.

Hi-Fi Rush also comes to mind, as it launched in a near flawless state after being shadow dropped out of nowhere.
perfect performance on PC, perfect performance on console (although no 120fps mode on Series X was weird tbh), basically zero noticeably bugs or glitches... it felt almost like an implausible game... both due to how polished it was and due to being shadow dropped.

Overwatch and Doom Eternal always impressed me, looking as good as they do yet with framerates that run as smoothly and consistently as melted butter, even on ancient hardware.

I am still impressed how flexible and scalable the engine in Cyberpunk is now days. It had huge issues at launch, but CDPR optimized and tuned the hell out of it.

The game even runs alright on Steam Deck or other handhelds and at the same time is a technical showcase on top of the line PCs. It’s a shame they are going to UE5 crap with their future games.

The other one is of course ID Tech in Doom and now Indy. It’s very impressive as always to see the performance and it’s a shame more MS studios don’t use it.
