Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey - July 2026

I really like that movie tbh. His only dud for me was Tenent.

Interesting to see what he does with this, cant say the guy doesn't like a challenge!
It's a good movie don't get me wrong; but I'm not going back to watch it again like I've done with something like Interstellar or the Batman films.

And I have no problem with long drama films, just something about Oppenheimer didn't FULLY click with me.

Fair enough, cant say id sit through it again for a while either..

Interstellar on the other hand is interesting for me because i was fairly cold on it first time round but on subsequent viewings its now one of my favourites.

Was a joke fella. But that was the rumour

Universal could never make a Blue Thunder movie. Sony owns the IP and they are making their own remake. Thus that site was spreading bullshit for clicks.

The entire origin of that "rumor" was Nolan flying around NYC in a helicopter to test these new IMAX cameras. Absolute and total bullshit clickbait.

People had some fun with it. It was fine.

Zendaya's got to be a shoe-in for Circe.
Yeah that could work! I don't particularly dislike Zendaya, it's really Holland I'm worried about. I just can't take the guy seriously and while I dislike the quippy character Zendaya often plays, I have to imagine that's not going to be true of this film. Unless Nolan is going to do one of those "classics but done in a contemporary setting" (gag.)

Absolutely Cozy
2026. Well, at least we'll have The Return to scratch the itch. I've also been thinking about finally reading The Odyssey and The Illiad so 2025 might be a perfect time for it.

Which is why I made the Joke. And told you It was in jest. Guess it went over that head of yours.

That's why I'd pitch Holland as Hermes. He'd fit that flighty, god persona quite well.

So? Actors alter their physical appearance for roles all the time. Not like he's not very well versed in how to manage his weight and look for performance reasons.

He’s said he prefers the smaller weight and feels better like that and wants those type of roles, not the muscle ones anymore. He’s chasing awards now.

Ah yes. The last thing he'd want if he wants to win awards is to be in a Chris Nolan film.

Damn, bet it opens with the Trojan Horse and the fall of Troy. Wonder how 'grounded' it will be versus full Clash of the Titans Greek god madness. Pattinson or whoever is Odysseus had better start yanking a bow to build up that technique and musculature, I want a guy with one arm twice the size of the other :p

Bow and muscles: Observed muscle activity in archers and potential implications for habitual activity reconstruction

"Previous research has suggested that reduced humeral asymmetry in robusticity in European Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene populations may be a result of increased left humeral robusticity due to muscle loading from increased use of bow hunting. This paper provides a basis for considering the causes of such changes by assessing the overall intensity and level of asymmetry in the distribution of muscle activation and muscle force among living male archers."

If we don't see some hefty humoral robusticity in the actor playing the greatest archer in history, is Nolan even trying??? :p
