Yeah, I was also in the camp saying that Concord won't come back as I didn't felt it had something that could make it sustainable for a long run. But considering the studio wasn't closed right after the game's shutdown implied these devs employed there had to do something. Those who remained there were probably exploring options and nothing came out of it

Nah the Steam updates were real, you can see all of them on SteamDB, it's publicly available.

So they were still working on it right up until Sony did the right thing and pulled the plug on them. The fact that they thought it was a good idea to continue to revive this corpse probably accelerated their closure.
