What’s the first thing everyone is going to do when you’re first able to free-roam?
Reveal the whole map if that is a thing. Systematically finish up side quest from one side of the map to the other.

I’m the kind of guy who leaves the main quest for last.

Where would someone in the UK source some of these? I'm a bit of a comic book noob so any help is appreciated!

Amazon's probably the easiest place. Maybe have a little look into the character and the background before you purchase, just to check it's your kind of thing, but Dredd is a heavy influence on Cyberpunk 2077, so you might well like what you see!

I paid £1000 for a PC to be built in 1996, a hearing aid brown box of greatness and the first game I played and completed was Blade Runner.
Cut to 2020 and I’ve just finished my new gaming PC build ready for Cyberpunk 2077!
what are you specs?

Yo check if it's working if you change the system date.

If not, check if it's calling home with Wireshark or whatever.

If it does, set up a local server that responds with a different timestamp, serve with an HTTPS proxy via Nginx, or fiddle with the hosts file, and then try again.

Come to think of it: Fire up the ol' Ollydbg and check where the string is referenced, then breakpoint there and walk up the stack, then just manipulate the condition before the reference. Might have to fiddle with the checksum test though.

No problem. I can't say anything about writing though, it might turn out good.

As a long plasma and oled user, this make me nervous, because red color is just really bad for those tv's..i hope there is sort of hud transperency settings..

yeah i got a CX oled. the thought of playing this game on it gives me nightmares. lots of red and it's gonna be a LONG game. i'm playing it on my 144hz ips but was thinking about connecting my PC to the TV to play in bed.

i heard somewhere you can fully customise the HUD.

Well call of duty has had pretty much all of those apart from melee combat and dialogues and quests are pretty separate from the guys who make core gameplay loop. In the case of cp2077 i doubt driving probably wont bother me since its mostly going from place a to b ie. Not being part of the core "fun" gameplay loop. Personally i just prefer devs excecuting few things really well instead of half-assing many things.
Call of Duty has all of those apart from all of those that take the most effort and is a linear tunnel. FFS.

It's ok if you prefer nonRPG games, who gives a shit.

Yeas i heard it too, but don't want to play without this map.
Why do OLED TVs not like red?

Also is there a case of burn in on CX from normal use on this forum?
Because red is a very bright color, any bright colors is bad for those panels, its just oled technology. Oled is way more resistant to burn is and image retention than plasma, but still..

don't know the exact reason for it but RED subpixels just die quicker. some OLED panels make the R subpixel physically larger than the B + G subpixels so that it stays brighter for longer. OLEDs run a pixel refresher to adjust voltages (therefore brightness) of the pixels as the panel ages.

burn in as a reasl possibility but from everything i've seen it takes ~500 hours before burn in happens. by that i mean you'd need to be watching a news channel, which of course has LOTS of static images, on full brightness for 500 hours straight before you see any burn in. lower brightness takes longer to burn in. for games the only real things to worry about are the HUDs but OLEDs have Pixel Shift to try stop it burning it. it'd take 500-700 hours of playing a game non stop to see any burn in.
