The statue is cool. But minus 80 for deluxe version of game. I don't think 150 is worth it.
In Canada its $299 CAD and heard there no actual physical release for CE version which makes it absolutely not worth asking price.

Thanks for spoiling a large chunk of the game, Kojima... Dude can't help himself. Probably gonna make me buy a damn PS5.
I just hope this time around there will be less walking, more and better combat and vehicles that don't handle like an office chair.
Yup. I regret watching the trailer full of spoilers but I have no hope of playing this till it comes to PC.
I hope there will be even more difficult walking sections, punishable terrain and slow slow burn. Any step up of combat from DS1 is welcome addition.

Don't know if there is anything new but the preorder page comes with a Q&A which sheds some light on the multiplayer. Basically, it should work the exact same as the first game, and it looks like it will be very much still focused on optimizing deliveries (which is a good thing imho)

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach supports asynchronous multiplayer in the same way as the original game. Actions of other players, such as the creation of roads or structures and the routes they have travelled, will become visible and useable to the player once they have successfully connected areas of the map.

I think in the US it's exclusive to ps direct as ps direct is US only.
Even Portugal has PS Direct.
Just checked and we also don't have a physical copy of the game. Just a "Digital Download of the full game".

They really ask for 250€ for a digital copy of the game and...the only physical things are the statue and some pieces of paper lmao.

Why are people surprised by these CE's only containing digital copies when digital is the only universal format when the market is a mix between BD and Digital only consoles.

The alternative being either they do multiple SKU's which inevitably is going to lead to stock shortages of the less popular version, or include 2 copies of the game and tack an extra $80 on the price.

Third option: a version without the game so people can choose

Why do you even own a ps5? Just wait for pc if its that much of an issue.

Best guess based on previous timelines is 1 year or more

Personally I wouldn’t wait if I had both a pc and ps5. It should be highly optimized for ps5

The trailer was running on base ps5. Pro isn’t mandatory here though will be improved

I think its the last playstation I'll own. They only did the crazy push to pc with ps5 imo and with the sheer amount of games from all publishers plus the lack of 1st party ip from Sony I don't need one. I have been weighing up selling my ps5s to be honest.

I'm going to give them one last year for announcements.

You do you brother, but doesn’t seem like they are changing their strategy of year + later ports

There’s nothing preventing scalpers from scalping the version we have now.

Without a game in there, the market is bigger and there'd be no reason to move the stock quickly. They could just sit on it until close to the PC release and cash-in hard.

Is the physical collectors edition even available in Canada?

The Playstation Direct is US only. GameStop and Best Buy is “sold out” but I’m not sure if it ever was on offer.

They were in stock briefly. It feels as though Canada got a really limited supply compared to the States.

I really wanted to get the collector's but it being strictly digital irked me. So, I just bit and got the physical regular version.

Digital versions have been a thing for a while. I personally wouldn't mind it because of the statue.

In a year I'll get the disc on a sale or something and pretend it was part of the packaging.

Oh, I know. It shows how often I purchase console games these days. But I mean, I have a disc PS5, so, I wanna use the disc, lmao.

Yeah, I questioned that, but realized I'd be rebuying it on PC at some point. So I figured I'd just go the path I selected.

I dunno fellas, I dunno.

I got a good feeling about this one.

Could be the goat.

Honestly, Kojima-san doesn't come thru as often as you'd think but when he does it's like a lighting bolt. I'm feeling it here. Calling it now. This will be a goat. I got a good feeling here mates, a good feeling on this one. This may be the one.

Weird because the DS1 Directors cut run at 60 fps on all modes on base Ps5.

https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfo...s-cut-a-playstation-5-upgrade-worth-the-money

Why will they stop using 60 fps for Ds2?
DF is just guessing because the game looks so good and there is some speculation that there might be RTGI involved. I doubt there is any RT in this game. Seems it's running at native 4k with no obvious ray tracing. So it will certainly run just fine at 60 fps around 1440p or so.

It does make me wonder what visual features they'll have on the Pro, I doubt Kojima would just give it a resolution bump but I could be wrong.

Hopefully the the same treatment as forbidden west. Get all that hair aliasing cleaned up with their kickass upscaler. Better shadows, LoDs etc. Better than base fidelity mode, but at 60 fps. I doubt they will have any RT added for the Pro. Just don't see Kojima getting to demonstrate them before even GG does. It's likely the engine isn't ready for that (and may not even need it yet, given the sheer quality it's already pulling off).

I wont be hung up if there is no RT features, given that the game has allot of beautiful graphics and great image quality, textures and allot of physics and environmental interaction. If there is RT, then fine thank you, but I hope it will not have a negative affect on image quality and frame rate. But I doubt if there is RT features. Most the time Kojima is more focus on physics, weather effects, and environmental interaction base from his past works from MGS series to DS series, which for me is more important.

I agree. I think this could be his greatest work because from the looks of it, he is giving everything to this game. He is working so hard and putting so many elements to the game. But I will not be shock if gaming journalist will again, have divisive opinions and reviews just like in Ds1, but I'm sure majority of fans and vloggers will love the game. For me I love the games grind it out elements of the game, exploration, world building concept, and cozy feel to the game when travelling. And I love the story, mystery, and great acting.
