DOOM: The Dark Ages launches in May, and when it does it’ll launch without any sort of multiplayer mode. In a meeting with select members of the press ahead of the Xbox Developer Direct event on Thursday

Looks damn great albeit still bit too colourful in places. Not to stir shit but its an easy day one for me on the Pro despite getting it „free” on subscription elsewhere.

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
Is it so weird that there are some people like me who don't like archaic games like this?
No, but why are you posting then? You literally are doing your username proud.

Rather have an echo-chamber?
This is the classic ''If you have nothing to contribute, don't'' for me to you.

If you just listed anything you didn't like on the trailer, that would be great. But you couldn't even get there.

I think it looked great, especially the dynamic playstyle system.

Hmm, seems to fix a lot of things that bothered me in Eternal, but somehow it still doesn't look - I don't know... shooterish enough? Combat looks too QTE and MMO skill cool down-esque for my liking, but it might not feel like that when I get my hands on it.

Cautiously optimistic though.

Fantastic look, it looks amazing. But I gotta say, you can really feel Mick's abscence. Not feeling the music at all.

I still can't make up my mind whether this gonna be awesome or just very weird with the setting chosen :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Probably day 1 though, Doom 16 was great, Eternal was way too limited and game mechanic based

As others have said, this preview makes me think they listened to a lot of the feedback from long time Doom fans and undid a whole lot of the changes they added in Eternal, which felt more like a character action game and a resource management simulator.

Edit: Ugh. I just got to the part with giant robot suit and the dragon. Fuck. What is so wrong with making a straight forward throwback to Doom in the 90s? You know, like they did very successfully with Doom 2016? Fuck.

Daaamn, finally something for the chuds. F’n awesome. id is back to show how it’s done. Who would have thought in the 90’s they will still rule the industry in 2025.
