I get Fallout 4 at the beginning of a week long vacation
I will definitely use that time productively
Should've put OT in an e-mail tag just for fun.
Good job and thanks. Happy isolation to everyone!
Nope, you will be just fine playing Fallout 4 as your first game. Of course you might miss out on references from previous games but nothing major. Just load it up and have fun.
The game's strength is exploration and going off the beaten path, so don't only focus on the main story and play the game just for that, it's not even part of the core experience judging by past Fallout games. You can play the game in any way you want though so if you do just want to play it linearly that's fine too.
In terms of story, there is no direct continuity between the game regarding stories, if you've played the other games you may come across references to some things but it's not important, just "ah, that's cool" type of references if you notice them.
I do that in most games already, haha.If it's anything like Fallout 3 then don't open any drawer and never look inside trashcans etc for items... you won't be able to stop this behaviour for the rest of the game and it will become the activity you spend the most time with by far.
That shit is an almost guaranteed ban on gaf, so hurry up and edit your post.
Umm... was there a need for the homophobic slur?
I've never been so hyped for a Review Thread before. It's gonna be a bloodbath!

Anyone in the EU had the PS4 pre-load go live for them?
I'm pretty interested in what the reviews will say.
i wanna VPN but they said i gotta leave my pc on all day after i VPN which is gay.
C'mon Kinguin. Where's my fucking code. Ordered it weeks ago, still haven't received it...
Friend ordered it last week, received the code on Saturday...

Should've added a small red "(click me for optimal OT experience)" text there lol

Why isn't the preload up for EU PSN? The game launches in less than 12 hours.
Won't I miss a lot of stuff including ammunition if I don't do that?
I got this in Saturday, so I have to ask other people playing this:
Is it just me, or is the game really hard? Game seems harder on normal than other games I've tried, but I'm not an expert so I went down to the Easy level.
Secondly, does anyone else thing that settlement building stuff is a burden, particularly since I run out of storage space on my so quickly, having to dump stuff I really need. I've seen you can store in various places around the game, does those items show up in the workshop later?
