Game is fantastic. As a whole, the package it offers is insane and quite possibly my game of generation. As remake projects go this is the one for me.

Gameplay, cinematography, OST, voice acting, minigames, it's such a fucking good package.

As for the ending, I was expecting Aerith's fate to be inverted, and that they would save her now. I always thought one of the main objectives of this remake was to correct her death in the original to be honest.

Well that didn't happened, at least yet.

With the multiverse mambo jambo, you never know.

Her appearance in the final fight initially made me think she had wake up, but at the end you get it it was like her force ghost through the lifestream. A safe way to maintain her "alive".

Zack part's are fucking cool, and I hope they some how merge him even more in the final part. I want them to be bold. Let me have him on my party.

I'm still confused about the black materia and Cloud. I thought by the end of Sephiroth's fate he totally stopped being controlled by him, but when he infused the Black Materia with the buster sword I got confused.

Now I'm left wondering if I should leave hard mode for the Pro and go straight to Reunion or not.

Also first ran took me a staggering 150 hours.

I remember people being mad that you only get one opportunity to switch gear/materia during the final battles (it's immediately after Jenova when you fight as just Cloud)

Having Aerith as a controllable player at that point would have been a surprise.

Man I was so pissed that the game removes Caith's Sith's materia when he leaves the party.

I didn't noticed until I was already fighting Sephiroth. Had to do that part only spamming abilities and attacks with him, no materia

Been listening to the Sephiorth Reborn suite and its such an amazing build up from the first few phases. I was so frustated by the final two phases in the game I never really appreciated it, but after hearing it live and uninteruppted at the Rebirth world tour orchestra I was blown away.

The choir in the 2nd to last segment before the final showdown is so good.

So I finally finished this game a couple days ago. I had to take a break over the summer for some work stuff.

I really liked the game, but as others have said I wish they would have done a straight 1:1 remake. Some changes here and there are obviously expected. Like the Jessie chapter in Remake and expanding things in Cosmo Canyon was cool. But I don't need or want all this multi-verse crap. Cutting out Bone Village and the Lunar Harp was a let down too.

But overall I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Can someone actually explain the story to me. I've played the original and I've finished remake and rebirth.

Outside of the main story beats that follow the original story. Wtf is this multiverse parallel world shit that's going on. Because it went nowhere at all. Other than a device to bring Zack back for 5 minutes.

Is sephiroth standing at the 'edge of creation' LOL the same seph in the game you are supposedly following. Even though it's jenova taking sephs form.

It's like multiple timelines. At the end of Rebirth, Aerith is dead in the "main" timeline but Zack is now in it. Zack will probably join the party and be a full playable character at some point in Part 3.

What that actually happened? Did I miss Zack appear in the main timeline at end?

Still that doesn't explain why there is multiple timelines, how they're are connected or what their purpose is and this other sephiroth.
Games a mess. I enjoyed it though .

I'm half way through Chapter 13.

When I play RPG's I like to have a "blind run" on my first play through. Where I don't look up anything that has to do with the story.

I was cleaning up a bunch of the side quest and working my way through their short stories, some were interesting and others felt like a chore (thankfully they had some story to do with each character).

One thing that had me worn down, was Queens Blood. It wasn't that it was hard. I got through most of all the matches (Even the last battle) with almost all starter cards.

My problem with Queens Blood mini game is I couldn't get over the fact that it didn't have a fucking Trophy attached to completing it! I know there are other Trophies attached to the progress of the mini game, but not to have one for making your way all the way through the whole story of Queens Blood was absolute garbage. I wouldn't have bothered with it other than my own delusional thoughts that it had to have a Trophy attached to making your way through it.

Overall, I'm very happy with the game. It's definitely had my attention as I progressed through it.

From playing the original when it was first released, the Remake and Rebirth have sparked a lot of those same feelings I had for the original as I made my way through them.
