Silva: Real Madrid tried to smear my name.

Real were in advanced talks with Valencia to sign the Spain superstar 18 months ago but pulled out when Jose Mourinho took charge at the Bernabeu, so Silva joined City for £27million.

Since then, Silva has been in sizzling form for City but has been riled by stories in Spanish media claiming Madrid did not sign him because of question marks over his "problematic" lifestyle.

Seasoned Real observers have always seen this as a feeble attempt by the club to justify missing out on the BEST Spanish footballer.

Midfielder Silva, 26, hit out: "If Real Madrid didn't want to sign me I don't know why these rumours came out, with accusations being thrown around.

I saw some tweets bemoaning the state of the A-League earlier today... has something happened? The last I remember is the rich dude who owns Gold Coast saying he hates soccer...

Twitter bollocks has it that both Pogba and Ezekiel Fryers have 48 hrs to sign or they can both do one.

The Federation revoked his licence. Club is no more.

He was

a) Calling the Federation incompetent assholes pretty much every day
b) Failing (deciding not) to promote his club
c) Calling football shit
d) Failing to renew any contracts for the next season
e) Making comical public threats of starting a breakaway competition
f) Challenging the national U21 team to a special face-off with his junior team because he thought (and said) they were shit
g) Sacking his manager over a piss-ant squabble about the captaincy

He was basically pleading for them to bin him, and they finally did. It's a relief, really. Palmer is a massive cunt.

That is eerily similar to the WPS and their recent problems with MahicJack owner Dan Borislow...

Well, he's making it personal with the (likewise, a billionaire, but dissimilarly, a gentleman) chairman of the FFA, Frank Lowy. He's just not cut out for any business where he actually has to negotiate and concede and defer and generally come to the table with a bit of respect.

smh at all the United muppets saying cough up whatever it takes to keep Pogba.

Morning jokes are the best.

Regarding Mourinho in London, it's not the first time since he left Chelsea that he has spent a day on the city. He did when he was in Inter and he has been a several times since he's our coach.

He loves London and he has never denied it.

That said, I understand that press begin to jerk off with the posibility of buying a house there, something that by the way, he already has.

I want Van Persie to play and get injured, thus automatically boosting Newcastle's chances of getting fourth.

No, no, I'm joking.

Kind of.

It will be very cruel yet funny if Persie gets injured right when Arsenal have had their biggest win of the season and seem to be getting into the groove.

Finally found that video. Guidetti might become my favourite young player, I can't wait to see him in action tonight and during the EURO.

Everyone's favourite agent, Mino, is calling him a "candidate" to be one of his clients on twitter.

I'd like to join the queue to punch Mino in the mouth.

Strootman is an improved version of van Bommel. He really is that good. Wijnaldum is improving a lot, but he's not there yet..

He is having rough weeks lately, Strootman. Hope can get his form back before Euro's, as we really need him to balance our midfield.

So, Strootman (and Guidetti) to Bayern after EURO, that is.

Petersson and Pranjic will leave anyway. And this would give the squad more depth.

It's a shame for Guidetti that he plays for City.

He's in brilliant form but I can't see him becoming a first team regular when they have Balotelli, Dzeko, Aguero and the returning Tevez in their squad.

I think he may need to move to another club on a permanent deal if he wants regular games.

How much would Guidetti be?

He would be a great fit for us if Barrios leaves.

I have no idea. Maybe £7- £10 million?

I can't see City asking for much more than that. He's a young player that hasn't broken into their squad and all his best work has been done at a different team in a different country.

They could try to implement him into their squad but I can't see him becoming a first team regular. He might have a shot in 2 or 3 years not right now.

Guidetti is rumoured to be around 11 million € which is a steal just like Shaqiri. And honestly, I think he has more qualities. Milchmonster, you stand right, Guidetti would be a great fit for Borussia. But you already blew 17M € for Reus.

I think Bayern has better chances.

We could surely pay that price. Like I said it would only happen if we sold Barrios. That would give us some money and considering one of our midfielders will probably leave, too, we would have that money to spend.

I kinda doubt that we would pay 10m+ for a squad player, though. Lewandowski and Barrios both cost less than €5m and I don't see us pay more than 7-8m to be honest. I must admit that I haven't seen much of Guidetti but maybe if Zorc and Klopp really want him, they might do it.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
SHOCKING NEWS: Scott Parker named England captain under Pearce.

Cool. For the here and now he's probably the best option. Slightly embarrassing that it's 3 days after he got a stupid sending off though.

O they are gonna have money to spend once United buy Gotze for 40mil. :d

Wow, what an honour for Parker. Deserves it though I think Hart is a better choice.

Btw don't see City letting Guidetti go. Would be silly.
