Football Thread 2014/2015 |OT11| This Is Our Year!

Mr Cola

Brothas With Attitude / The Wrong Brotha to Fuck Wit / Die Brotha Die / Brothas in Paris
This match looks like when you playing Fifa with a mate who doesn't really know how to play so you let him pick someone class while you play as Shamrock Rovers.
Took shamrock rovers to European victory in sensible world of soccer

Byrne, toal and Cullen were broken as fuck

Falcao has definitely lost some pace.

Also, it's not the 3-5-2. Our 3-4-3 is great and capable of producing lovely football, you just need to coach it. Obviously Louieh had tried but these players aren't getting it. Whether it's them or the standard of coaching I'm not sure, but it certainly isn't inherently the system.

The formation isn't the problem.

Some of our players are just shit.

Well considering it forces Shaw and Rafael into the wingback role when they aren't wingbacks, and we have on less attacker just to have one more cb, I think it is. Just let the cbs hoof it and it negates our attack.

Shaw absolutely is a wingback.

Rafael is just hugely flawed.

With Gerrard announcing his departure, do you reckon its given Rodgers the greenlight to put him on the bench whenever he wants, without worrying about internal politics?

No he's not.

He's not used to having the entire wing to himself and his worst performances have all been in that role.

If United had Rojo back and signed Cuadrado I would be far more confident in the system.

You should. I went for a Galaxy S tab 10.5 in the black friday sales. Comics look amazing on this screen.

I'm sure, and if I was still into manga and comics big time, I would've bought it years ago (I did, actually, a chinese tablet, which I sold the day after I bought it, so terrible it was). I'm not though. I could never get into american / western comics, with a few awesome exceptions, such as Watchmen, and as far as manga go ... I need to finish Jojo, re-read Rough for the n-th time and check out a few others, but, again, it's unlikely that I'll rekindle the manga reading hobby anytime soon. And so even spending 100€ on a tablet feels like a waste. My 5" phone does everything I need, for anything else there's the PC and the TV.

Your players a better at playing out from the back. Our CBs can't play under pressure and just hoof it.

Rooney has been shit the past 3 games.

Most likely.

Whether Rodgers concurs that Gerrard is a huge flaw in the system is unclear, however the difference in performance level from Swansea to Leicester can't be ignored.
No he's not.

He doesn't have an entire wing to himself, the team should shift over as and when necessary to provide options.

If they aren't doing it then blame those around him or the unsuccessful coaching. But Shaw absolutely can do the offensive and defensive roles of a left wingback.

Fletcher's 'Neville period' has been going on for a long time

Its admirable to give him the chance to come back from his illness, but its clearly destroyed his ability to play properly at a PL level

Handballs should be given there imo. Even if its not deliberate, it happened because he fucked up and it got him out of trouble.

Our defenders can NOT play out of our own end. It's fucking pathetic. Put a little bit of pressure on them and they'll boot it to no one in the center of the pitch.

@MessiMinutes: 16 year old Uruguayan midfidelder Federico Valverde will start a weeks trial at Arsenal tomorrow after receiving permission from @OficialCAP

@MessiMinutes: Peñarol say they have "no intention of selling a star player" but Arsenal "were so insistent that he should come on trial" that they agreed.

We put more effort into signing teenagers than getting players we need.

That was pretty funny. Sagna with no pressure at all delivers as bad a cross as you can, then Kolarov collects and sends in an absolutely pitch perfect one. Funny dichotomy.
