Maybe for 2 weeks like La Liga. Too many fixtures for any more imo, plus 2 domestic cup competitions.

Two legs in the cup is terrible. Just as replays in case of a tie. That destroys any chance of small clubs performing a stunt.
It's shite for the fans because money is tight at this time of the year and the trains awful and it's shite for the players because they're knackered.

I swear, every few weeks when I check this thread (which I usually immediately regret) it's always fuckbayern this, bundeslolga that despite everyone constantly claiming that they don't care. Are you talking about anything else anymore in here?
I've been going to the football home and away for 20 years and have never heard anyone say they think it's shite doing so over Christmas.
I think at most they could stand to cut one fixture out of the calendar. Those games on the 28th this year felt a bit bonkers. But multiple weeks off cuts out one if the best periods in the entire season. No thanks.

CL on a Tues night -> Sat kickoff.
CL on a Wed night -> Sun kickoff.
EL on a Thurs night -> Mon kickoff.
