Shoegaze is a good genre for chill in general, but there's a lot of heavier stuff in there too.

That DIIV album is a good pick. Spooky Action at a Distance by Lotus Plaza is kinda like a similar, but better (imo obvs), version of it.

He can be a bit shrill. Provides a nice contrast to the laid back music though.
