Yurt

il capo silenzioso
Who said this and why do I have a raging boner right now?
Gazzetta dello Sport.

aka Italian toilet paper #1. More reliable than toilet paper #2 (Tuttosport) but still, a toilet paper.

I've watched a few episodes of Seinfeld the past few mornings, having never seen it before, and George is the funniest part of the show. JLD is also good, but after that, it's not fantastic.
what makes him even funnier is that he's actually based on Larry David
I like how Yurt keeps pointing out these marginal pay increases as though the money is the main factor in a Serie A > EPL switch.
he's in Rome so, the Mortality rate has to be a factor too

I forgot Sahin said this :lol

Nuri Sahin said:
"I talked to him and asked him why he was playing me there. It is not my real position. The coach could not answer me … Still, no regrets. To play at Anfield was a wonderful experience. And maybe if I had not gone there I would not have been able to return to Borussia Dortmund. For that, I am happy. Thank God I have left Brendan Rodgers."

I don't know about you, but I'd happily trade a couple of these Iscos and Jameses for a new Zidane.

Just wait my friend.

FFP is explained so fucking shit in Football Manager... my 4th season with Everton I win the league (after being 3rd, 4th and 9th the 3 seasons before) and runner up in champions league... expected a massive transfer kitty and got fuck all even though I made a profit of 220m for the season.

googled shit because the game aint point it out and it seems you can only go up 4 million per season in wages and I was @ 78 million and it was suppose to be 72 or some bullshit. Sold a lot of players (like Sisto to Man U for 65 million when he cost 2.5 season 1...) blah blah

just looked @ ffp just now (going to finish 4th this year, in fa cup final and cl semis) and its saying allowed wage expenditure is now 119 million (currently @ 67million).... what the fuck happened to only a 4 mlllion jump per season.

Also fucking lolz @ this fanbase confidence shit.. had to play bayern (fuck em) in champs leagues qtrs, had match against fulham 4 days before so rotated entire team, they drawed. Accidentlyhit spacebar twice so no team change for bayern match and won 3-0 away.

Fanbase was disappointed a weak team was chosen and it only had 50% confidence. my strongest team drew 2-2 with dem @ home ffs...

fuck fm

Sounds like too much hassle. Glad I stuck with FM12 and it's horrible transfer algorithm.

What future Juve player am I looking at here?

Angel

pls don't take him on a free though.

Played another u18's game this week.

Yeah I read that too. I'm so excited to see him climb up the youth ladder. He turns 15 next season so...

I wish there was footage of his performance. This is the only vid of him playing for the u17s. He's 13 in this video. You can see he has very good vision for his age.

I said this to LTWheels but it's a direct by-product of Liverpool's stomach-churning level of self-mythologising and it's therefore well deserved.

I'd expect an ex-pro to make their own decisions on a player's on-the-pitch value.

Any mug can see that we cannot start him every game, and when we do it leads to our play being much slower, even if he can still provide us with quality on the ball.

I think first up your expectations of ex-pros and 'any mug' are way too high. They'll see Gerrard spray the odd ball, get the odd assist or goal, and think 'wow Liverpool dun fucked up'.

They're idiots of course but they'll also be the loudest voices over the next 6 months.

Is there even a new SATA revision on the way? Seeing all the awesome PCIe SSD stuff that's coming, the NVMe based SSDs especially, it feels like they could just leave it at 3.0 and be done with it.

I think Gerrard is still good enough for a role at Liverpool.

And I don't mean that in a "well Liverpool are shit so a shit player should be able to play for them" way.

I don't think Rodgers wants him around badly enough to try and make it work.

I guess.

Just hope it doesn't catch on elsewhere and lead to the common thought being that we've fucked up, Rodgers is under enough pressure without ending up being blamed for us no longer having the Gerrard of 08/09, when he's not got the legs to play to anywhere near that level anymore.

I can already see the idiocy coming, the same people who've been calling Gerrard shit for 2 and a half years now saying that we've made a massive mistake letting him go. And at the end of the day, we offered him a new contract.

Not really the club's fault if Gerrard is unhappy with his prospects for gametime, being offered reduced wages for a reduced role, a short contract for his depressingly steep decline, or a late offer as we figure out how important he is going forward.

Leaving it later than Gerrard would have liked is just business, and its what we need in every department as we strive for FSG's aim to be holistically* secure, finance-wise

*not sure I've used that correctly

It's odd that we can find no footage of Andy Townsend's Tactics Truck on the internet. Did it exist, or was it just a case of folie á plusieurs?

Isn't it mainly Gerrard's problem though? It doesn't seem like he'd be willing to accept a walk-on part at Liverpool. Much like someone like Pirlo wouldn't.

That's what we're being told - but I find it hard to believe.

Maybe I'm giving him too much credit but I just can't see why Gerrard would rather go to play for LA Galaxy than play reduced minutes for Liverpool.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

I guess he doesn't accept that he needs to have a reduced role, I think he has said that himself. He'd rather spite Rodgers and play every game in a silly league than accept his legs have gone.

They may be offering more in wages, a longer contract, and his ego probably took a twatting with our delayed contract offer

Then there's the change of scenery and increased playing time

Torn on Shaqiri. I'd love to have him, but we appear to have nothing to spend in January, and its not a priority position.

£76k for 18 months.

Not exactly a blockbuster deal.

He's said himself just the other day he would have signed a contract had an offer been forthcoming in the summer, so clearly there are mixed messages about why he's leaving. Just think it's a bad outcome for all - Liverpool will miss him and he can say what he wants about it being a challenge but he's pretty much retired once the summer comes.

Well it seems to me by Gerrard's quotes that he was going to stay, but had been offered limited first team chances that he wasn't prepared to accept yet.

Can't blame Rodgers for that. If Gerrard plays every single week, his performances reflect that. If he isn't willing to be rotated more often for the good of the team, best he leave.

edit: realise I'm a bit late to the conversation :lol

Hmm, thought he'd be on £100kpw+ at #LAG

Maybe Alex Curran has something to do with it :p
