This is the sort of defeat I don't mind too much btw. We were legitimately shit in a lot of areas and Spurs were much better than us, deserved what they got in the end.

Wenger has never beaten Mou and never will. Wenger couldn't even beat Moyes last season.

Well that was an exciting day of football.

I think we'll bounce back and pound Swans and Newcastle before back to back fixtures with Liverpool. We then host City on the final day of the month.

I also expect us to sign someone within the next two weeks.

Apparently the Gerrard to LA rumours are coming from the guy who leaks the teamsheet in advance each week. If so, sounds reliable then.

What position though?

Do we get a midfielder to complement Matic and Cesc? A winger to replace Schurrle/Salah and give Willian competition or a centre back that pretty much destroys Zoumas chances of getting in the team?

Definitely a winger and quite possibly a centre back. I want Cahill gone.

No thanks. I'd have boo him when he comes to play Seattle (season tickets). He should play from the bench at Liverpool aka like Lampard. We don't need him for an entire game.

Rodgers will drop him for sure.

He's english though. We have quotas to meet and the only way we can do that is if we get rid of a few foreign players.

Salah, Schurrle Mikel, Ramires, Cech and Schwarzer are the obvious candidates but I'm not even 100% sure if Schwarzer is registered or not. Im not saying all should be sold btw just those are the options.

We're light in quality in midfield because (as I've said before), Mikel and Ramires are not good enough replacements or compliments to Matic/Cesc. Salah/Schurrle don't seem to be capable of replacing Willian who himself isn't a good enough finisher at the moment.

Cahill isn't going anywhere of all the players.

Oops. I don't mean gone as in literally off the team, I mean gone as in relegated to the bench and away from the starting XI.

I think a wide player to replace Schurrle and Salah who are clearly lemons. I have no idea who that player is though.

I do believe rotation and lack of quality depth will be our biggest hurdle moving forward.

Chelsea need to play Luis over Ivanovic because he's a defensive liability. They need a better back up than Mikel, and I would go as far as saying they need a starter alongside Matic so they can play Fabregas further up. That way Matic doesn't get exposed as much and Cesc can dictate from the hole.

Well, i'd be satisfied with Zouma getting his chance. He'll play against Watford perhaps our next league game

He can still do a job as an attacking midfielder coming off of the bench. Persisting with him as the main central midfielder for 90 mins will leave us midtable though. He's sapping the speed out of the team. Now is the time to give the armband to Henderson.

Cahill was terrible today but I'm still a fan of his. He's come a long way the last few seasons, so a drop in form isn't exactly surprising.

I guess he probably would suit a lampard style role. He just doesnt have the fitness for full games at the highest level any more though.
