I didn’t necessarily agree with Scorsese’s take but I kinda understood where he was coming from. In that thread I offered three Marvel films I felt proved his position wrong. However, I also admitted there have been some comic book films that were in line with his point of view.

People are generally dumb, but in a broad sense I think they are smarter now than ever before. By smart I don’t mean right, or thoughtful, or any kind of value judgment. There’s just more access to information than ever before, and more people are in a position where they can take in that information and use it

Marvel movies are just selling the same entertainment thats been sold for fukkin years/decades beautiful explosions, fighting and violence I don't know wtf scorsese and coppola are smoking they used the same techniques to sell their sh!t the most memorable scenes in freakin godfather I II are the killing scenes like when Mike shot the cop and drug dealer in the restaurant or when Vito got revenge at the end of Godfather II.
