a Pokémon card I bought a couple weeks ago is now roughly double the price. Person who sold me it wants to buy it back off me. No doubt at the price they initially sold it at

I could sell it and buy an RTX 5090 but I really do like the card and due to the value I’d have to pay tax which I can’t be arsed dealing with.

I want to get into Magic. Not even going to think about buying physical cards. Maybe download it on Steam. I did buy some cards years ago but I can’t remember what it was called, it was like a starter kit or something.Interesting.

I started playing around when the 1st Ultimate set came out. All my allowance, birthday and holiday money went into Magic. When I finally got a part time job, I started buying boxes for my self.
Fell out of it a while back but still have my collection of something like 20,000-30,000 cards kicking about in a box somewhere. Probably should go through them a bit more to see if there's anything valuable.

i need your expert opinion. i should really see a doctor but just curious. what symptoms do you get when you have a kidney stone? i always thought it hurt to pee it out but apparently most of the pain comes from when it forms in your kidney? is that true?a while ago (maybe a couple months ago now) i woke up with this awful pain on my back around the bottom of my ribs. it was so bad i could hardly move and even sitting down it hurt. the pain seemed to travel down towards my hip over the next week or so and it has remained there since.
just because of that i was thinking maybe i've grew a stone. no issues peeing or anything. well actually now i think about it ONCE it did sting. the pain in my hip seems to come and go. i can have good days where it doesn't bother me but days like today sitting at my desk on a chair at work or home it becomes unbearably uncomfortable. even if i'm in bed it can hurt if i'm lying on my side. that's the only times it seems to bother me. sitting on a chair or lying in bed. i can get comfortable in bed but not on a chair.
can't feel any lumps so i just assumed it was the muscle or bone. but that doesn't explain how the pain started from my ribs to my hip. not sure if it is a kidney stone but was thinking it could be.
and again i should really go see a doctor lol because it doesn't seem to be going away. maybe it's just me getting older and dealing with more aches and pains.
edit: and apparently people say if you have kidney stones then you will be in no doubt about it. so i suppose it's not that..... sorry Dr Voyage

Lately it's been ok but it's a gamble when I order with DoorDash.
I had an order dropped at my outside door in winter without notification.
I received someone else's order ftom Uber Eats.
I had an order confirmed "delivered" but it never was.Talked with the driver over the phone and he barely spoke English or French. I just gave up

more of a just eat guy myself but lots of places have ditched it. one time i ordered on JE to pick up and the lady gave me shit she was like "don't order through that just call next time i'm losing money!" i felt bad but fuck it. don't sign up for it then? she did take it off but came back with much higher prices.
i think i've only used Deliveroo once. they are even more expensive and i noticed many places seem to have reduced menus.
EDIT: holy shit. JE charges £700 registration fee and takes 13-14% fee on orders.

The pain is intense in a way that I can't really accurately describe. My best attempt would be it feels like your organs are failing and you are dying. My Christmas Day one started around lunch and by 7pm I was pale white, shaking, and vomiting. Most will pass within a day or two. That recent one passed after 2 days.
There's really 2 rounds of pain too. The first is your kidney. This one is the most painful for me. It's what I describe above. Once it lands in your bladder you feel relief. But this is temporary so don't get excited. As it passes out of the bladder there's a second round of pain. This one is more manageable but you'll feel like you need to pee the entire time. And it will probably sting through your entire urethra. Repeat this multiple times if you're passing multiple stones, which I have also had the pleasure of experiencing.

Kidney Stones freak me out so much because basically they can just happen. I guess so can Aneurysms, but still. I saw a guy go down from that in what looked like horrifying pain. Like that dude was a tank but I never heard someone be in so much pain. I broke my shoulder real bad a while ago and almost passed out from the pain at times, yet I still believe kidney stones are worse (or at least, can be).
I'm kinda hoping on genetics to (once again) save my ass. I do drink a lot of water, but afaik you really only can control so much.

I think if you don't get them by your mid thirties you're in the clear. The first once scared me. Everyone after has been pretty routine. With pain pills, it's super manageable. This last one, I only had to take 2 pills after the shot of whatever they gave me at the er.
The first one is really the mindfuck because you have no idea what is happening. You just feel like you are onto something the verge of death and you have to pee really bad.

Was contemplating a more permanent absence if you know what I mean but that always comes to the forefront in these phases. Although it was way more complex than a simple depression cycle. But I'll keep that to myself. Sorry to hear you haven't felt good as well. But hey we stand up and rise; visualizing and manifesting a better tomorrow step by step, right!
