I would recommend not having a mid life crisis. I think they are mainly caused by being confronted by your mortality. I would say accept your mortality move on and live a good life.
I thought about it recently, mainly because I'm doing my motorcycle license right now, but I think mid-life crisis means a timely repurposing of freed-up or newly found funds to serve as a post-'i have proven myself' gift to oneself.
Finding new or better meaning once you have realized that you are going to die post-kids post-buying a house isnt something I would call a crisis.
Maiden Voyage
don't know where you lie funds-wise, MX-5 is a baller car that is fun af and you can do 500miles in it, just not every day, soft top is a bit loud, havent tried the hard top. I drove it for 1 year, was a company hand-me down. If you drive top-off above 120kph/80mph no rain gets into it either. Engine likes to rev like a mafaka, no Cayenne takes you on the Autobahn until you reach 200kph. Fun even in snow. Full recommend.
edit: I'm 188cm, 115kg fit and wide, comfortable for me.
