I know precisely what you mean. My friends are still semi-obsessed with it, and when we talk about it, I legitimately have trouble remembering the characters names. This show ended so poorly that it made me retroactively dislike the entire series. That's, honestly, quite the achievement.
for me the telltale game was more like a behind the scenes story and it was on purpose that it was happening in parallel and not some sequel or prequel , exactly not a new time period. I think it was its own thing just intertwining some characters where it made sense to include them because they should or could be there.Feels like the Telltale game that relied too much on the show. Why don't they do a bit of a new take but set in Westeros. New characters but same setting connected to the world and events, maybe another time period. Something that is confident enough to stand on it's own feet. Just like the Telltale game, this looks to have cheap feeling cameos from the OG cast and will end up feeling like GOT from Wish.
