Man, I'm so glad I rolled for Itto.
Everything dies in one Gorou+Itto burst combo. The big robot who's sleeping under the sakura tree? Couldn't even get up. The big electro Hilichirl? 3 hits. Those 4 robots in Guyun Stone forest? A single burst combo. The only enemies able to survive a burst is that other big geo hilichurl [edit: just tried with Benny and he died halfway into the burst] and shielded fatui.
Now tried a Benny+Gorou+Itto just oneshotted a ruin hunter with the cow. Didn't see the damage, toh
Problem with that is that they die too fast and Itto's burst doesn't charge up again.

Yep could easily be a skin for her, but I love the shogun motif too, it just straight up looks great.
I can't get over how much I like it. The waist and shoulder armor, the multiple arms, the electro symbols and overall theme. Just a mile above the usual "here's a robe or a dress with random wavy bits" that most characters have had since Mondstadt.

Trying to find the bright side of pulling Thoma: I'm getting into the fishing minigame so that I can get the Catch for the Shogun, and Thoma's passive is a 20% chance of a double catch. Nice.

The devil is in the details MiHoYo. I didn't even know he was from Mondstadt, he's so bland that I never bothered to check his story.
This just means that future characters will get fishing passives for their respective regions, which is perfect since I assume everyone stops caring about fishing once they R5 the Catch.

Ehhhh looks like C2 is the sweet spot there. I wonder how the level stacking works. Still might be a bit much investment for another electro DPS. We better see NUMBERS if they're planning on keeping things the same after the beta.
Curious to see how she actually plays. I am not sure how to feel about this news yet.

I will add that they're confirmed to be alternate costumes, and the original ones will NOT be removed according to MHY. The idea of alternate costumes is pretty cool, but these are essentially just covering up the original designs so there's no cleavage, armpits or tights. Seems like they're pandering, but I don't know to whom.

So I combed through a bit of the hoyolab stuff, apparently these are new censored versions for the CN version of the game, but optional for other regions. It's unannounced if they're planning on selling or giving these away to the other regions. I wouldn't take them even if they paid me to. So tired of this censorship stuff.

So I guess the mystery of the disappearing bellybutton has been solved. We have moved into the age of Censored Impact.
I wouldn't care if they'd maintain two versions of the game, but we've seen this before. They're going to let CCP's sensibilities influence the design of all future characters so they don't anger the CN playerbase. So instead of them getting censored stuff, and us getting uncensored, censored will be the new normal.
Really disappointed.

That's worrying information. If China is indeed cracking down on sexy waifus, you can bet your butt it'll affect future characters. I don't believe for a second they'll keep making separate skins for Chinese and global markets. I wonder what the Chinese player base's reaction will be to this censorship. If they find out the rest of the world will keep access to the old skins, I think they'll rage.
I doubt they'll remove the original outfits for the global version of the game since they already promised they wouldn't. They'd have to pay apologems too. That's the last thing they want to do. But reruns could be delayed to get the censored skins ready for CN.
Boys will probably be next. Didn't the CCP complain about Venti? He's on the chopping board too.

I'm guessing this optional part is just a covered up to avoid initial backlash, and later they will eventually replace for good when the dust is settled.
Boys? I woudln't count on it. I think Venti is a special case because he looks kinda like a girl(didn't we have a leak image about him in his "almost like girl" form?).

Maybe I'm too trusting, but I believe MHY genuinely wants to keep the old skins in the game. It's just that the Chinese government won't allow that. The biggest fear I have right now is that complaints from Chinese players could force the company to remove the original skins in the global version as well. Didn't they remove bunny girl costumes from Honkai for the same reason?
The documents from the CCP about their partnership with MHY were posted here sometime ago. I remember a passage in there about protecting traditional masculine values and depictions for male characters. Anything that could be seen as inappropriate will be altered, not just sexy women. Who knows, maybe they'll remove Itto's nailpolish!

Its not that we havent seen this coming. We have cases like Ayaka and Rosaria "nerfs", which I can kinda understand Ayaka but not Rosaria.
But lets not kid ourselves. They will eventually do this, and not because they're forced. Because I think it would be too much of hassle for changing the skins just to be something "opitional"(let alone if end up being paid). They have that influence, theres nothing to fear except for heavy backlash, which I believe they can control with putrit tatics(like giving free Primogems for instance). They will have to endure whatever happens in China, so why not make the change worldwide while at it?
