Well both Chasm and "upper Mondstadt" are supposed to be released before Sumeru in that leak. I'm guessing Chasm will be 2.8 since Sumeru (the city) is supposedly located right on the other side of it from Liyue. I'm glad we're going to get a free Dendro character at least, to test it out.

Agreed, content is required to keep players engaged. I'm just remembering the long content drought last year from Dragonspire to Inazuma's release. (I guess the Golden Apple Archipelago was released, but that was small & temporary).

Maybe it's just me but I never took it literally as a whole field (sea) of Dandelions. I thought that was just a kid's story relating to an area that either had quite a few dandelions growing in it, or the water (for whatever reason) had the appearance of large field of dandelions.
Yeah I imagine it is exaggerated to begin with. I just hope the look of it continues to be fantasy like to match the descriptions.

you mentioned writing your thoughts on the lore down a few weeks ago, I'll go ahead and kick us off, I've been thinking about quite a bit of it. Anyone else in the thread can feel free to jump in too.

So I finally grinded out the rest of Windtrace rewards, wasn't too bad. I feel this iteration made it a little too easy on the hunter. Unlimited stamina, faster cooldown of skills, particularly near the end, and if you get the favor it's pretty much game over. The best way to win as a rebel is just to take one for the team and grab the favor so the hunter can't use it, even if you get caught in the process. You'll get at least 300 points per game that way, more if you can manage to grab favor and not get caught. I have to be in the mood for Windtrace, but it's fun nonetheless.

So, I think it's pretty obvious at this point about a few things. I'll start with Wishes and the Traveler. So my thoughts - Paimon is a god that is able to materialize things from memories. Traveler is a shooting star, or data from a spaceship or something that can travel the galaxy (possibly the Ark from Honkai, but you probably don't know that bit of lore so I won't delve for now). He/She is given form by Paimon or something else in Teyvat that allows them to look/act/be human. Wishes are canon in the game, not as getting party members, but you're wishing on a star in the constellation of the characters, each star has a memory attached to it. Paimon allows you to be or manifest these characters when you receive the star or memory. This explains the multi elements, the fast switching during gameplay, and why more stars from the constellation makes them grow in power. This also explains why everyone calls you traveler when you're in the game world no matter which character you're using, and why you blip back into the traveler when you talk to important NPCs for story quests. This also explains the fights like with Childe boss where you use multiple elements one after the other without attuning to a statue. Paimon also being able to materialize things explains the huge inventory system and a few other things that most people will just write off as being "just a videogame". MHY writers are a little bit clever in that regard.
From what we just found out in Enka, there was life on Teyvat way before Celestia showed up, indicating they're alien to the planet. Whether the planet is just a simulation remains to be seen, but there was definitely something there before Celestia. This is a huge secret/taboo to talk about, since Celestia doesn't want anyone to challenge their rule. Their reason for this, again, I think relates back to Honkai. This explains why the Archons won't mention a thing about Celestia or their roles, and is further indicated in the story of the big snek that died in Inazuma. The lore in Enka states that the vishaps and humans existed before Celestia. Celestia came down to Teyvat, put their archons in charge, via a war or whatever, and banished all the humans alive in that time in Inazuma to Enka at behest of the snake god instead of just wiping them out (like they likely did in other areas). The snake read the illegal book that explains details about Celestia (the one that the Pyro Lector dude was looking for), so the powers in Celestia force him to suicide by Shogun. The snake really loved its people and wanted what's best for them, so he did it, knowing full well he would die. This solved a lot of problems for Celestia. The snake was actually a really good dude and loved humanity, building Sangonomiya out of its body and doing everything it could before its suicide run.
I also have a weird theory that Celestia in the sky is actually upside down in a hollow earth situation (or simulation again), ever since the "stars are fake" reveal from Scaramouche during the Fischl event. This partly explains the upside down statue of the 7 and the meaning behind it, why the abyss exists and why it gets harder as you climb (descend). Also why the abyss order was chosen by the "Sibling" as the correct path. There's definitely something with the abyss and Celestia, and Katheryne is a part of it. I think the Adventurer's Guild was created to keep skilled people busy with menial quests to prevent them from learning anything of importance or challenging the way the world works or Celestia. That explains Katheryne's occasional "ERROR" text and her universal ego across all nations.
It seems that even though the archons have their overarching rules from Celestia, they still are allowed various freedoms to govern Teyvat as they see fit. They grow to care for their people and I don't believe them to be "bad guys", but I think they're only allowed to operate within a certain set of guidelines. Tsarista is the only one pushing this boundary, something even Venti (god of freedom) won't even do. The Gnosis pieces, while seemingly of the utmost importance, don't seem to be that important to the Archons. I still don't have a good theory about what they do or what they're for. Since they're all chess pieces, you'd have to assume it's for a puzzle or something. I think the main role of the archons is to keep civilization at a slightly-above medieval technology level (again for Honkai reasons). This is backed up by Khaenri'ah's story of getting wiped off the planet when they got too advanced.
Visions don't seem to be as much of a boon as they first appear to be, either. I'm suspecting they're given to people of ambition to keep an "eye" on them from Celestia, to make sure they're not doing anything too big that rocks the boat or that will change civilization in a big way. Even Ningguang, who has a Vision and is basically the leader of Liyue, just gives advice on inconsequential business items and forecasts for financial information. Keeping the status quo.
Anyways, I have more theories, but I wanted to get the discussion started. I'm curious what I missed and what you guys think.

In the greater miHoYo universe, Honkai is a force of destruction that essentially is "god" - the will of the Honkai. It finds civilizations that are growing past a certain technology level and actively seeks to destroy it. That's a huge oversimplification, but you needed to know that much to get the rest. In Honkai Impact, they try several things over several "eras" (spanning thousands of years and countless generations) to stop the Honkai. One of the mentioned plans is something called "the Ark Project". It's a project by a character named Doctor MEI to essentially send a spaceship out to the universe and look for habitable planets that Honkai hasn't noticed/touched yet. It's kinda just explained in a Manga and then never really talked about much again. Doctor MEI is in love with the strongest character in Honkai lore currently, Kevin Kaslana, who is functionally immortal on top of being ridiculously strong. He's one of the only characters to still be around from when the Honkai first invaded earth. He worked with Dr. MEI on several projects to try to get rid of Honkai.

So back to my theory then, either they're super-powered humans (this exists in the Honkai-verse), an AI program from the Ark, a memory of a failed project, or something of that nature.
I'll be honest, I have been so invested in other parts of the lore, I haven't put much thought into the ramifications of the Ars Goetia tie-ins. There's a lot for me to read and digest about that. I don't think however that Asmoday (the Unknown God) is the primordial one, though that's just a personal belief. I think she's a red herring for whatever the true antagonist is. I haven't thought about the Greek names and what that could imply either.
I do think that Paimon herself might be Phanes, even if she might not realize it. Would tie into my other theories about her really closely, and indicate that she was overthrown as the PO by whoever currently governs Celestia, and explains how she can manifest/create the traveler and other stuff. I don't think it was the PO that challenged the vishaps at all. I think the PO was more interested in creation and humanity, and then....something...happened. I think the reasoning, again, might have something to do with the greater Honkai-verse.
