Geoff Keighley (via Variety): A sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is now in production and a 'very big priority'

Looking forward to how WB manage to fuck this one up.

I mean, the game is full of stuff that people online would normally complain about being woke. From a major side character being trans to 1800's Hogwarts having 10X more diversity than 1990's Hogwarts. It's just that no one cared because the entire discussion focused on how playing the game was upsetting Resetera.
The diversity didn't feel forced and felt inclusive (ie not replacing existing characters with race and gender swaps but adding on to the people there) not excluding. I never finished the game but 1 trans character, if not made like dragon age where that is all they are, or if skippable who cares. It's when they force it on you, ala Viel guard that is when its shit.

I hope they dig even further into the exploring aspects and we get to explore even more of Hogwarts now, with richer and deeper interactions, more secrets, more involvement, more everything. They could play more with time of day too.

Makes sense that they would prioritize development on a game that might help dig the game division out of the hole that Suicide Squad put them in.

I think the question will be if they can keep the focus and "completeness" of the first game and avoid the GaaS temptation.

Will be interesting to find out wheather they have the guts to shove a woke agenda in there or if they prefer to actually make money
They had a whole lesbian and Transgender character in the game. The default pronlun was "they'. Probably more stuff since I never finished it. Believe it or not people offline don't give a damn about that crap if they're already open to playing a fantasy game with witches and wizards. Give it up already and enjoy the damn game.

Needs:

1. Not live service
2. Actual interesting dungeons
3. Worthwhile unique rewards, not mysterious ancient wizard protected place where the chest contains a lame variation of a school jumper.
4. Location variety, travel around the world for quests at the other magic schools.

I enjoyed the game but didn't agree with this stupidity. Fortunatelly it was a single scene then I could simply ignore this monstrosity of character, and tbh the game has bigger problems like weak ass characters, something that Harry Potter franchise exceeds and generic randomized rewards.
The fact the game has idiocies like that doesn't mean I'm ok or support this crap(same for basically everyone). As soon as they force this hard, I'm out of it. Trying to diminishing this has no effect on me, which I find hilarious as you seem to scream alot but didn't even care finished the game. Nice support for "offline people don't care", they just won't go register on forums just to tell that.

Curious to see what they do here.

The original Hogwarts Legacy felt like a lightning in a bottle moment that will be difficult to replicate.

The main selling point I feel was re-creating Hogwarts and Hogsmede so convincingly.

They will need to rely on something else this time. Once your past the charm of exploring Hogwarts the actual gameplay was merely okay.
They should make the actual school more integrated into the game like persona

According to the report, the sequel to the best-selling game of 2023 is a “very big priority” for those at Warner Bros. As far as what the focus of the next game will be, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President David Haddad says it will coordinate story elements with the upcoming HBO series.

Al Capone's son no longer has anything to say... His corruption had enough with those prizes sold.

Not a fan of Harry Potter but I'm actually 50 hours into Hogwarts at the moment for the first time. It's great and JK Rowling is the queen.

Hope it ends after 4 hours with a setup for killing 13 Voldemorts in different dimensions. They could even recycle the previous bosses! Hopefully the skins are bundled with banners and shit so you'll have to shell out at least $15 per skin. And lets not have any of them unlockable either.

I played Suicide Squad recently btw.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
please good and interesting side quest.

And ACTUAL rewards, not some equipment with numbers.

And karma system with different endings

I loved Hogwarts Legacy so this is exciting for me. Harry Potter was a big part of my childhood.

Bruh, he would never work on any game associated with JK Rowling so you don't need to worry.
I was laughing when I wrote that, but I’m kinda scared Warner might give in to the arguments about canceling JK. I used to think that’d be an irrational money suicide, but now? I don’t know, everything’s upside down these days.

This reads like C-lvl management (suits) is getting involved, it will be a huge succes for sure......

If you ignore all the side quest fluff (that is on a par with Horizon) and just concentrate on the main questline the game is fucking epic. The central storyline is surprisingly engaging. The flying sequences along with the way they were scored (big John Williams homage) are also cinematic asf. I must have reloaded the checkpoint about four times on one part just to play it again.

This game has the best flight since Flight Sim 2024 and... Anthem.
