MLB wasn’t Sony’s decision.Think it’s been made clear. Any and all ps games are subject to make the leap to pc.
Maybe even Xbox as shown by MLB.

day and date? LOLThey dont want to create bad blood and negativity in their userbase. To me, its obvious what the long term strategy is, they are just doing it bit by bit, game by game, until it gets to the point where its accepted and the 'norm'.
I still think by the end of this gen, PS5 games will be launching day and date on PC, just like Xbox.
Good, I'm glad they got rid of those stupid logos. They were the most inconsistent logos ever and I think depended on the developers/publishers using them rather than if the game was truly only on PlayStation or console exclusive.I think this is a reissue like some said, PS Studios logo is added and the game is updated to the latest version on disc. I don't think this is coming to PC, definitely not this soon.
Game covers feature too much logos, banners and gaming media quotes, awards stuff, etc. I'd reduce them to the minimum: Almost the entire cover for the game's key art illustation and game logo, and a small platform banner to feature platform, publisher, dev and age rating logos. Soomething like this:

Days Gone says hi.Great.
That means theres definitely a sequel if they're giving anytime to a pc port.
They put logos and everything on the printed part, so they can manufacture plastic trays without anything specific. What you're suggesting does look better, but it's not feasible as every game would need its own plastic tray. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen.

It's wonderful to see Playstation lose its unique identity month after month seeing all of its games on PC.
R&C can be on pc right now too.So it seems now clear that it's not because of the PS5 stocks that Sony are doing crossgen games, but it's more to make it easier to be ported on PC.
I can imagine how sad Hermen Hulst the PC fanboy is because he won't be able to port Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart on PC before at least 5 years.
It'll probably be $50 like HZD and Days Gone.lol. The spin you pc guys make is unbelievable. My deal is the game can go to PC, but at the price of a PS5 version.
And is super funny you guys spinning the '$70?, too expensive, gonna wait discount', and next 'Yes Sony, make me buy the game twice'.
lol "my deal"My deal is the game can go to PC, but at the price of a PS5 version.

Why would we pay more money than we are used to for brand new games, for a game released 6 years ago? Console prices can be that high because of Sony implementation and ps5 tax. But very few would buy it for $70 on steam. I'd buy it from a cheap cdkey site if they ever tried some b.s. like that.Whats wrong? I talking from me, I can't talk for anyome.
Would be better for you using 'IMO'?
may be just lost in translation, but what you said is the equivalent of having a salesman and a costumer discussing a deal, and then comes a complete stranger that has nothing to do with either one saying "Look, this is my final offer, take it or leave it"Whats wrong? I talking from me, I can't talk for anyone.
If you wish I can use 'IMO'.
What is that even supposed to mean? If anything, Sony is building on their brand by tossing 18 month+ old games onto PC and expanding without sacrificing their console business to do it. As someone who games on consoles and PC I can say I will not be giving up my PS5 because older PlayStation games are headed to PC. I don't want to wait at least a year. If anything, I will most likely double dip on a few of them. It's wonderful to see Playstation lose its unique identity month after month seeing all of its games on PC.
A scenario that was unthinkable until a year ago.
This makes me happy.
i mean, there wouldn't be anything to lose from new PS games going to PC day 1 or a few months later eitherSo many Playstation games on PC now…... Wait theres only been 2 so far lol.
Ghost of Tsushima will probably come sometime in 2022-2023 on the PC which is ok. Theres still much older PS3/PS4 comes that havent made it on the PC yet. Bloodborne is over 6 years old? Uncharted series. Ratchet and Clank PS4 etc. Nothing to lose from them going to the PC now.

The game artwork and the blue bar are part of the same image. If Sony decides to don't ask games to put anything covering the blue bar it's just an artistic choice on their side mentioned on their guidelines. If some day Sony decides it would be a good idea to have a slimmer bar, to limit logos and their positions to where I put thrm and to forbid extra logos and quotes, then they would do it.They put logos and everything on the printed part, so they can manufacture plastic trays without anything specific. What you're suggesting does look better, but it's not feasible as every game would need its own plastic tray. Unfortunately, it's not going to happen.
The thing is that it would have a mininum and recommended requirements that would only cover a tiny portion of the PC installbase, so it wouldn't be profitable.R&C can be on pc right now too.
The rumor was its sequel pitch wasn't greenlighted for Bend after developing DG1. But maybe the rumor is fake. And if true, it doesn't mean there won't be a sequel:Days Gone says hi.

That tiny portion is still likely bigger than the PS5 userbase. They really have nothing to lose. The thing is that it would have a mininum and recommended requirements that would only cover a tiny portion of the PC installbase, so it wouldn't be profitable.
I think Sony prefers to port to PC old PS4 games because there's a way bigger PC install base with specs capable to run them decently. In addition to don't affect console game release, obviously.
What would you guess minimum and recommend specs to be? There are millions and millions more next gen GPU's than next gen consoles out in the wild. The thing is that it would have a mininum and recommended requirements that would only cover a tiny portion of the PC installbase, so it wouldn't be profitable.

Or maybe Sony told them the greenlight but it needed UE5 and since it isn't available while they wait they helped ND with a couple of projects and started to work on a new IP with a 2nd team. Maybe Sony told them the pitch was weak and asked to tweak certain areas and after they fix them they pitch it again and Sony greenlights it. Or maybe another team is developing it.
Exactly. And people can just play at 1440p, with DLSS up to 4k, 60 fps, raytracing, etc, instead of native 4k if their rig can't handle it.That tiny portion is still likely bigger than the PS5 userbase. They really have nothing to lose.
People are definitely jumping to conclusions here.
Sony just doesn't use only on PlayStation branding since PS5 games don't have the signage either.
Personally, I hope nobody buys these PC versions so Sony doesn't bother releasing them anymore.
NOBODY YES DOORI think at this point people already know my brother isn't the best writting english since it not our native language, but he tries. Mockery is not cool.
Switch cloud version. ?
Sony took the artistic (+marketing) choice of not including anymore the 'Only on PlayStation' banner on their game boxes, which doesn't mean they will go 3rd party and start publishing games on other consoles.Maybe even Xbox as shown by MLB.
No, it must be close as of now, but it's smaller. That tiny portion is still likely bigger than the PS5 userbase. They really have nothing to lose.
All I'm saying is that a PC port is no indication a sequel is coming. I do think GoT will get a sequel but the two aren't related. The rumor was its sequel pitch wasn't greenlighted for Bend after developing DG1. But maybe the rumor is fake. And if true, it doesn't mean there won't be a sequel:

You can go to check the Steam hardware stats. I don't remember the current numbers, but I'd bet that way over 90% of Steam users don't have GPUs with next gen arquitecture, raytracing, DLSS and 4K resolution displays. What would you guess minimum and recommend specs to be? There are millions and millions more next gen GPU's than next gen consoles out in the wild.

True, a PC port isn't an indication of a sequel coming (at least soon). In the same way, Sony deciding to remove the 'Only on PlayStation' banner from their covers is no indication of GoT -and all their other exclusive games- are getting a PC port (at least soon). All I'm saying is that a PC port is no indication a sequel is coming. Time's changing. Only reason why nintendo relies on their exclusives is because they have almost nothing else going on for their consoles. Very different case for sony and PS, unless you believe theres no reason to get a PS5 apart from exclusive titles that is.Probably consoles sales. Exclusives matter
Just like Nintendo.
Doubt they will come day 1 or a few months later either way
I thought there was roughly 200m steam users, and the average specs to run all last-gen AAA games was 10% (20m), but would happily have someone give me new correct figures .What would you guess minimum and recommend specs to be? There are millions and millions more next gen GPU's than next gen consoles out in the wild.
