This. It brought me back to the days of games like Tenchu & Ninja - Shadow of Darkness (the days I miss soo much). Oddly enough, I got Shadow of Darkness because at the time I couldn't remember the name of Tenchu and thought Shadow of Darkness was it lol. I know we've had other games but with GOT, I dunno, it just all came together well. I am probably close to platinum and it could end up being my first.

I'll be guilty of double-dipping if it comes to PC. My 3 biggest and totally valid complaints were:

1. 30fps on PS4Pro
2. Story barely straddles the line of mediocre, closer to bad territory.
3. It wasn't a new Tenchu.

My biggest issue was the 30fps lock. Game is stunning, has incredible art direction and music and I really enjoyed it. Game came out right before my daughter was born and when we got back from the hospital I'd sit right there in the living room playing PS4Pro with her in her bassinet and I'd play in between her feedings. I think the game will always kind of hold a special place in my heart because of the circumstances in which I played it. Granted, I wouldn't feel slighted if I played it on PS5 as if you get rid of that framerate lock, there isn't too much to complain about in regards to presentation. Amazing game and I look forward to replaying it.

The whole PC dilutes the consoles argument is really dumb. Where do you think the money is made? It's from a cut of the software sold. Literally a majority of all these console makers want you to spend a majority of your money buying software, it's the whole point of trying to get you a box, so they can take a cut of all the software sold. I had NO interest in buying 3rd party games on my PS4, so all I ever bought for it was 1st party games that I found interesting, and even then, there were only a handful. The PS5 has next to nothing that has me interested enough to buy a console, but I would be willing to replay a few of those great PS4 games again and willing to pay for them too.

Lack of communication and explanation of their strategy. If they know that all games are coming to PC, they can make an informed decision about whether or not they want a PC or a PS5, instead of being told they are exclusives, and then having that change at a later date. Because for sports teams, you want your team to win because there's one championship. The worse another team does the better your chances.

When it comes to book and movies, people have their favourites (I like old Arnie movies), but it doesn't mean I hate Stallone or Willis flicks. There's no point hating another actor's movies for the heck of it.

For gaming, I don't get how random PC gamers playing a game half way around the world affects a console ecosystem warrior. Doesn't matter if it's MS, Sony or Nintendo. If a PC gamer gets to play a console game (especially one that is released years later), how does that make his console game less fun?

I don't think the game was trying to be a stealth focused game. It was just providing us with a variety of ways to take on enemies in the game - allowing us to mix it up. I disagree with you about the stealth mechanics being 'very' bad. I think they worked well in the game.

Days gone is another very good 7\10 for me but i'm more biased with that one because i love sons of anarchy\monsters stuff and sam witwer (the protagonist) far more than samurai stuff.

I really can't say what is the better game, both games have huge flaws and huge selling points.

Days gone is much longer and a bit on the tooth by the end but the challenge is a bit higher and i liked the characters\story far more.

The first 10 hours of DG are the weakest (not for me, just the general opinion) so if you enjoy the game now, you are gonna enjoy even more later unless you get burned out.

Indeed. You can face them directly or like me, battle them using ranged weapons. The game is pretty fair about how you face enemies.

Is Days Gone worth finishing? I lost my interest after getting the camp unlocked on the south east. 3rd camp unlocked. Everything felt repetitive at that point, and I just gave up to play other stuff.

Well, I dunno, so far I haven't found the motivation to do so. I plan on going back to it and see if I feel any different. Some of my issues with the game so far have been with the dialogue and some of the animations, Deacon will be speaking so loudly with his buddy over the microphone when the situation around him calls for him to be whisper quiet; I was about to take on a camp and here was Deacon speaking really loud.

There are games I have liked after going back to it later so hoping Days Gone might be the same but when I booted it up last and played through the camp mission, it didn't "click" but we shall see. I am somewhat in the beginning of the game (basically after you drop his injured buddy off.)

I mean, the ia was completely brain dead with shitty sight and hearing for the enemies and it was super easy because the game gives you a ton of tools and some of them are just OP without any skills requested, i loved the variety but mechanically was too much easy to get away with stealth.

I stopped doing stealth because it was dreadfull and even more easy than the combat itself, at least the combat is not completely brainless and you need some timing.

I think that every decent open world game offers you a blend of stealth and normal combat, and tsushima with his single and unique main weapon wasn't even that varied imo.
Sure you have the 4 styles but they are deep as puddle, it was basically "choose the right style to do more damage\stun" it was not something like nioh where stances are more than that, shit you didn't even had to memorize what style was better for a certain enemy because the icon of the style already show you that, and don't let me start on the special moves (again cool as fuck, but too powerfull)

I very much enjoyed the game but it has gigantic margins of improvements for the sequel.

Games have long legs on PC, which is one of the reasons why Sony is so keen. Good to see another console exclusive coming in at second place too.

GoT is one of the few Sony exclusives I'd be interested in playing on PC, so I really hope this is true.

Agreed. 30 FPS feels like a slideshow to me. I would gladly pay a premium price for a more powerful console. Double/triple+ the price of current gen for better performance. When I talk about diluting a console/platform, the exclusivity of a game being on a single platform. Business wise, this is a a great decision. For example, would the Nintendo Switch continuously sell out if you could play their games on the latest Android or iOS device?

I wouldn't be too surprised to see this being pretty standard moving forwards, it just makes sense for everybody concerned.
I think it's going to be simple for them to see a good time to do it with their first party games and I can imagine it makes sense for it to happen some time after the cobsole launch and they know that sales of the games on console are past the point of return. I wouldn't be too surprised to see that there's a bit of a bump in sales on console whenever they release a PS5 update for games but if there isn't some sort of expansion on the way then it makes no sense not to do it.
I do actually wonder if games arriving on PC may actual raise visibility of a game again and maybe even gain a few sales on teh console side again.
I'd imagine there will still be some games that they choose not to release on PC but I think it would be more about the difficulty of converting some games to PC. Not that any would be impossible but if you're going to spend more money creating a PC version than you expect to make selling then unless they'redoing it for alternative benefits it doesn't really make sense to do it.

Ah, I dunno. I enjoyed it haha, perhaps it was too simple for your tastes. I felt it had the right balance of everything. I have Nioh so once I start my playthrough, I'll better understand what you are talking about. I only played the intro area.

In nioh you are gonna notice that changing stance is more than just damage bonus, there is not a perfect stance for a specific enemy, it's a trade off between power, speed, poise, evading prowess, block prowess and moveset.

Also more weapons so more variety and faaaar more challenge.

Don't get me wrong, i still prefer tsushima as a game overall, but not in all the aspects.

I have a PS5 and a PC. But I hate playing games on my PC. It's just not a good platform to play games on.

So yes, I'd be really happy if Sony removed all their games from that garbage platform. I'd be even happier if every publisher did too.

Physical copies are licensed too.

Sony will lose too much money if people stop to buying PS5 to get a PC. The most profitable to MS and Sony is third party licensing royalties.

I would wait for a deal. I had a blast with it for 15 hours until nothing changed and it was repetitive as hell. I made it a little ways into the second area and abandoned it for good. Story was not very good and couldn't keep me interested enough to bother with thes rest.

You said "Sony see no money from". And that is false, because those physical games ultra cheap didn't sold 1 year ago, Sony got the royalties money from 1 year ago at full price.

The game will have legs if people want to buy it. Games like Horizon are manufacturing yet today at lower price, or you really think the copy you could buy today, was manufactured 4 years ago?. Only games what were commercial failures don't have legs. So, physical copies don't damage legs anyway except for the second hand market
