Gran Turismo 7 |OT| Hitting the Apex

This is both skill and luck dependant and can take you between 1-2 days or 1-2 months so there isn't a clear answer.

McLaren F1 '94
Cr. 20,000,000
Last Appeared: 07.03.2024

McLaren F1 GTR - BMW '95
Cr. 15,000,000
Last Appeared: 05.02.2024

BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97
Cr. 14,000,000
Last Appeared: 17.03.2024

Skill dependant because...

...grinding the money with the highest payout races for around Cr. 800,000 would take you approximately 17 races or 9 hours of racing. And this is only for the cheapest of the three cars. But if you are able to beat all the Circuit Experiences first try you can get Cr. 47,500,000 within a few hours.

Luck dependant because...

...all three cars are tied to Hagerty's Legendary Car Dealership and have a timed availability. As you can see in the example of the '95 model, it hasn't appeared for over two months now.
I heard something about this, timed access through an in game dealership. Man, that’s lame, would have hoped something would have changed since launch.

Over the the years I really have only used the GT series as my personal McLaren simulator lol, so that makes me pause on pulling the trigger.

Thanks for the reply.

I can tell you the wait for each car to appear in the lcd is not so bad plus it gives you time to grind Le man, Tokyo, Spa or Sardegna.

And like Con-Z-epT said you have the CE which if gold can bring you millions in no time.

Best of luck by the way the F1 GTR 95" Should be appearing in the lcd in early May and the F1 GTR ' 97 can also appear as a special pick in the lcd so keep a eye out for that, while the normal F1 still has a little more to go before it appears again.

I'm also waiting on the normal F1.:messenger_beaming:

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 Will Add the Skoda Vision GT, Sony’s Afeela, & a Classic Chevelle

With a few hours to go until it’s officially revealed, a first look at the Skoda Vision Gran Turismo car has leaked out courtesy of one regional PlayStation site jumping the gun, along with the other contents of the upcoming update 1.46.
It’s looking like a regular three-car update, set for Thursday April 25, with the game set to hit the 500-car mark through the first Skoda vehicle in a Gran Turismo game, Sony’s own first production car, and a classic muscle car making a welcome return from previous GT games.

PlayStation Poland let the overview of the update’s contents slip in now-removed posts on its Facebook and Twitter accounts, showing the Skoda Vision GT in multiple colors and revealing the broad strokes of the vehicle:

The Skoda Vision Gran Turismo is, as we expected, an updated version of a 2022 concept designed by Skoda independently of the Vision GT program but coincidentally bearing its name. It’s inspired by the company’s sleek 1100 OHC convertible from 1957, although with some modern touches. Absent a full presentation of the car, which will be coming later on today and with Polyphony Digital in attendance at a special live unveiling in Czechia, we still don’t know a great deal about the Skoda Vision GT, or Skoda’s future plans for a presence in the series.

However, we can say that the VGT is an electric single-seater, with a curious set-up that appears to integrate the driver’s helmet and an augmented reality display in with a fairing. We’ve seen the car presented in multiple colors too, with the original red (from the 1100 OHC) joined by what looks like two different greens and a silver version with blue livery lines.

Alongside the Skoda there’s a second new manufacturer making a debut, and it’s almost a case of Sony marking its own homework with the 2024 Afeela Prototype.
Sony revealed its first car (the Vision-S) way back in 2020, and while nobody outside of Sony really expected it to actually become a real car, that’s more or less what’s happened. To realize the ambition, Sony joined forces with Honda to form the snappily titled “Sony Honda Mobility”, to produce an evolution of the vehicle under an all-new “Afeela” brand.

Perhaps unsurprisingly it’s an all-electric vehicle, sporting a pair of 180kW (241hp) motors for a combined 482hp. As there’s one on the front axle and one on the rear, it’s also all-wheel drive, and apparently you can drive it in the real world with a DualSense controller, as demonstrated by SHM chief operating officer Izumi Kawanishi. Finally, and perhaps as an antidote to the other electrifying options, there’s a classic muscle car making a return from previous Gran Turismo games. That’s the awesome Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454, packing a 449hp, 7.4-liter LS6 V8 driving the rear wheels alone.

With the information leaking out early, we still have to wait on the Skoda presentation to find out more about the Vision GT and any future plans for Skoda models in Gran Turismo 7 (and beyond).

This is also only a preview of the vehicle content for update 1.46, with any further information on other content and features under wraps until the official PlayStation Blog/Gran Turismo website post and the patch notes.
We’re expecting more information on the Skoda at around 1600 UTC today, April 24, with the update notes at or around the same time. The update itself is likely to become available at its usual time, around 0600 UTC on Thursday April 25.

Gran Turismo 7’s Next Update Set to Arrive May 30, Adds Five New Cars

The next game update for Gran Turismo 7 looks set to land on our consoles this coming Thursday, May 30, with series creator Kazunori Yamauchi posting his traditional pre-update teaser on Twitter.

It’s a date we’ve been expecting for a little while, with content updates coming far more commonly on the final Thursday of any given month than at any other time. A server maintenance notice was also posted for the game for that date earlier today, keeping up the 100% record of server maintenance coinciding with a game update in GT7’s lifetime. Fans had been a little on-edge as Yamauchi’s teasers for a content update as usually (but not always) posted the weekend before. His teaser Tweet for last month’s update came only a day before the update landed, although that was down to the unveiling of the Skoda Vision GT. However we now have a confirmation that there will be five vehicles in the update.

It’s actually quite a hard image to decipher, with very few clues in the heavy shadow, but we’re pretty sure we’ve got a good idea of most of them, and it looks like a good one for the nostalgics.

Probably the most obvious though is the leftmost car, the classic Honda NSX from Japan’s JGTC championship. It’s likely most recognizable to Gran Turismo fans in its Castrol Mugen paint scheme, and we’ve been expecting that to arrive for a little while now.

Just above that there’s enough of a clear look to decipher the Nissan Skyline R31, in GTS-R specification.

Behind it is the unmistakably boxy, estate-bodied Volvo 240, which will become GT7’s very first wagon and a return of Volvo to the game.

That actually looks to be accompanied by a second Volvo, with what looks like the headlight and hockey-stick hood ridge of the second-generation Volvo V40. It’s not clear which version, but we’re certainly hoping for the straight-five, 254hp T5. Either way, it’ll be the car’s debut in the series.

The final car, in the bottom-right, is the most obscured of all, but we’re pretty sure it’s a fifth-generation Honda Civic EG. Again, the specification isn’t obvious, but the car that makes the most sense is the 168hp SiR-II that fans of the original Gran Turismo may remember well as one of the best early-game cars.

As usual, this teaser only shows the car content coming to the update, which we presume to be v1.48. There’s no information on any other aspects of the update, including whether there’ll be a new track or track layout (fingers crossed), and we’ll have to wait until probably Wednesday to find out more.

Hands-on with Gran Turismo 7’s New Physics: GTWS Driver Interview with Guy Barbara

GTPlanet had a chance to catch up with Gran Turismo World Series racer, and unofficial Vegemite spokesman, Guy Barbara about his recent experiences in Montreal including the highs, lows, new physics, and a little insight into life at the heart of the flagship event.

The Montreal event both teased the new physics for the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 1.49 update and used them and it turns out that it was actually with surprisingly little warning. As related by Guy, the players were told slightly ahead of the event in a special driver briefing but couldn’t actually practice to discover the foibles until arriving in Montreal. Unlike some other esports series, where participants use a special esports build, the players have access only to the public version of the game and only got to try the new physics out on the event’s rigs.

The changes aren’t entirely transformative, so home practice hasn’t gone wholly to waste, but there’s enough going on to make life tricky and catch out even the seasoned veterans of the GTWS as we saw on the stream. In Guy’s words, “everything’s faster”! One of the core differences relates to tire wear, and with barely half an hour to practice for each race it threw many competitors for a loop with regards to tire strategy. Indeed one of the Nations Cup hot favorites, and polesitter, Kylian Drumont related to co-host Jules Hardy on the live stream as he waited to get into the rig for the final that he had no idea what his strategy would be! That led to a variety of interesting calls, with varying results, as the drivers tried to push the softest tires as far as possible but without using the last few pixels of tread to avoid something that they referred to as “punctures”.

This refers to a new effect in the physics where the tire just straight gives up as it approaches the end of its useful life. Rather than being able to use it all up, Guy relates that you now get a little warning in terms of feel, at around 90% worn on the gauge, that the end is near before the grip drops off a cliff and you have nothing at all. Although not entirely captured on the live stream, he was one of the drivers caught out by this in the Nations Cup, dropping the X2019 through turn one at Road Atlanta right as the tires came into this window of one lap too many in what he described as his worst live race performance to date.

We also saw the Australian racer involved in an unusual blue flag battle, thanks to the short lap and long pit lane at the track which brought the early two stoppers out right into the lead battle despite reported player warnings to event staff that this might happen. That came off the back of one of his best in the Manufacturers Cup, where he took the AMG to fourth place overall to score three World Series points for the squad. The tire wear came into play here too, as Igor Fraga whose Lexus was chewing through front tires for fun took victory in part through an unusual triple-stop strategy.

It’s a fascinating insight into the inner circle of the Gran Turismo World Series, and we’ll be seeing Guy in action again with the rest of the Nations Cup drivers at Prague on Saturday August 10 with a little more practice on the new physics which arrive in the public build on Thursday July 25!

Any tips for the S4 challenge would be appreciated... 2 days now and my time is stil 1.58.728 ... have to shave off this .278
Using the G29 wheel with 02 TCS and ABS on default evertyhing else off.. being running this challenge with +2 on the rear break.... tried many combinantions of TCS and break but the best time was achieved with that one

Given how close you are i'd say stick to it as it will come sooner rather than later.

If you haven't already achieved gold then the best advice for me is always to make sure you reach for the track limits. Obviously easier said than done with the walls but whenever i struggle with any Time Trial it's usually because i haven't maximised the corner entry and exit speed. This comes mostly from making sure you have the perfect line and go as close to the walls as possible. Your settings seem reasonable.

Try not to force it and drive smoothly. I also suggest using a higher gear for most corners. Maybe you do this already. The last time we had the Supra in a TT was on Trial Mountain and i struggled immensely until i used higher gears on exit. Sometimes going up even two gears.

Hope this helps. Keep pushing!

The car physics simulation model will be significantly changed. This update brings a new suspension physics model, as well as a new tyre physical calculation model, resulting in much more natural weight shifting during cornering. Tyre response will also be improved and bring with it more realistic tyre heating and wear. Look forward to more dynamic car movement and a more refined driving experience.

Excited to try the physics. I’m hoping suspension is a little less snappy and more natural. I heard about the tire wear being very different. You can’t run them down to zero and keep control as easily anymore.
Fraga also said that an aggressive driving style will lead to significantly more wear. I liked the pronounced weightshift. Not to say an update isn't welcome.

I do too but I feel like with certain curves or inclines it can be a little odd, but I think that’s partly due to how downforce can be a little funky on the more extreme cars too. I can’t wait to play this weekend though with my wheel and psvr2 and catch up on the new events from the last couple updates too. I’ve had 0 desire to touch any other racer since gt7 dropped, they simply aren’t as good. It’s the perfect balance between accessibility and sim. I love the longer races where you have to factor in tire changes and weather and fuel. I just know the new tire mechanics are going to punish me hard until I get the hang of it because I drive very aggressively especially on the early laps.

just did the circuit experience for Eiger, and wow the FFB on my wheel is alive again! Hope this is not just in this track. It feels like the one from... 1.17 (?) again, with no rubber-like feeling at angles.
Will try other tracks and cars to confirm, but it's promising!
