Just cause there were pills doesn't mean he overdosed. Medication can kill to sometimes like with Anna Nicoles son.

This sucks hard. Also, I can't believe how fast this news got around my campus. My AIM blew up and my phone poured in with text messages, as I called and texted other people. I really liked the guy, great guy and amazing actor, but I never realized just how popular he was.

Well considering how intense some actors are into their craft, some of us are suspicious if the breakdown is slightly related to his previous research into the Joker role. I noticed something was up after he broke up with his long time g/f with child.

Yeah that's what we all hope too, just sad that people are willing to get into drug addictions even though they are tied with their child(ren).

err... please, just stop. The loss of life is sad and all, but human beings are ridiculously diverse creatures who deal with grief/everything differently, thank you. Many here are trying to make sense of something that sounds, to them, so incredibly senseless, while others are grief stricken sobbing (apparently), and some others are WTF'ing.

when my grandfather passed away a few months ago, I didn't cry, yet I was terribly sad. I'm sure to outsiders I seemed like a stone cold dick.

It's sad to think that he didn't have one good friend to be there with him through the rough times he was having---if he did kill himself.

Just one good friend to be there. That's all he would have needed to keep him from this.

Yeah, what a terrible waste :( Not necessarily a tragedy, but a big fucking shame to have lost him.

Two Hands was a stellar fucking movie, too... loved the shit out of it, as a few of his others as well.

You're overreacting, man. It's sad, but come on. No one here is friends with this man, and I know his daughter will be well cared for by a wealthy mother. That's more than any of us can say for most drug related deaths.

I've had plenty of friends die, from overdoses and from deliberately taking their own lives. I'm short on empathy as it is, and considering that there is a kid involved... no, not empathy whatsoever.

That was different. This sounds like a suicide, an intentional overdose. Belushi did coke for years and years, he kept pushin that limit. River got in with a bad crowd and overdosed on coke. This was not coke, nor heroine. It sounds like suicide to me, which makes it that much sadder, I can't understand the fucking joking going on in this thread. Joke if you want on your own time, don't bring it in here.

While im absolutely shocked by this, im a little disturbed by people more worried about a movie based on a comic.

It's fine when you're considering that it would be the last chapter in the legacy he was building as one of the best actors today, but not for purely selfish reasons. I guess thats humanity for ya.
