The concern wouldn't be there if people didn't think it was happening. It looks like it's happening.Lots of concern for something that’s not even confirmed yet.

Reality? Reality is that this is all based on rumors and conjecture and it's laughably pathetic that anyone act like a petulant child crying because another kid gets to play with his toy.I think if that was really a true stereotype, all gaming forums everywhere would be only those kinds of members.
Your on a hardcore gaming forum and your surprised at gaming drama? It's part and parcel of being a hardcore gamer.
Welcome to reality.
Ah... a fellow SEGA fan going through 2001 again. I share your feels.
By the way I am not trying to argue with anyone here on this, just telling you what was said even as late as late last year by people who would know these thingsI'm withOmegaSupreme . New hardware seems DOA in the future if they forego exclusives, even if it is timed.
Are you ready for $99.99 games? The Masterrace is here for you. It's never looked better with PS putting games there now.

Man of Steel, the Snyder Superman movie I'm pretty sure (it's either that or one of the other Snyder moviess with Superman anyway)LMFAO what movie is this from!? Looks like PS3!
I think he meant, "when everybody plays (station), we all win"When everybody plays, we all win!
I'm furious with MS.
I feel like I've been screwed.
This isn't console warring. I'm just upset because I REALLY do think MS make great consoles.
But this move has been really unfair to their player base. So many people bought into their promise of a grand future of exclusives especially after the Bethesda buy out etc.
This is total BS.
I'm NOT having a meltdown.
OK.
I'm having a meltdown.
F YOU MS AND YOUR DOUCHE MOVES!
Steam sells to save the dayAre you ready for $99.99 games?
And 2000 dollar consoles right? Are you ready for $99.99 games?
You do realize those are percentage based, right?Steam sells to save the day
Timdog:Honest question, how old is the OP? I refuse to believe there is anyone above the age of 14 who can't control their emotions like this regarding a plastic video game system.
P55 Pro price probably just went up. I'd imagine this will stop GPU prices from ever becoming reasonable too.And 2000 dollar consoles right?
Be patient. Phil Spencer is playing Diablo 4 and Sarah Bond is unboxing an 18 year old game.
i mean it doesnt really change a thing for me since its a game pass box as always, one of the main draws of the hardware. The problem is there is less incentive for people to buy an Xbox. That's not good for an already struggling console.
Fair enough.Timdog:

The real question here is why anybody would have bought into Xbox after the shit show that was the Bone generation. The writing has been all over this wall since the last console generation.Imagine being a Sega fan who watched them getting murdered by Sony.
Then imagine seeing it happen again 24 years later lmfao.
This shit is gonna give folk generational trauma.
Well if that happens you know who to blame. MS. They failed. The spent hundreds of millions dollars developing games like halo infinite then thought it was a good idea to give it away.P55 Pro price probably just went up. I'd imagine this will stop GPU prices from ever becoming reasonable too.
The responses....

Maybe, even probably, but I do t think people should freak. They have talked about this for years in my mind. It’s also not like they are abandoning the Xbox. They are just putting stuff on more systems. The concern wouldn't be there if people didn't think it was happening. It looks like it's happening.
Why does blame matter? My point is that people seeing this as some sort of win for their chosen platform are very short-sighted. This is clearly bad for the industry.Well if that happens you know who to blame. MS. They failed. The spent 500 million dollars developing games like halo infinite then thought it was a good idea to give it away.
Xbox mandem stand up strong, fuck all these pussyoles begging to play Starfield, we got the hench cock, double the length and width of a can of Monster, muscles all over the place, wel fight untill the end, sllewww deemmm.
It's probably not a good news for gaming but it's not even the point. People bought a console when there wasn't any doubt that MS was engaged in making console exclusives. Why would you get banned for this? This is definitely worth bitching about.
Exclusives from Sony, Nintendo and Sega (in the past) were and are always leagues ahead of multiplatform trash from Ubisoft, EA, Activision and other third party devs. With some rare exceptions like fromtsoft and cd project.
Exclusives are made to be ambitious, innovative and polished so they push consoles. If MS isnt going to make exclusives they will follow the sega route of creating some mediocre titles because that determination to sell consoles at any cost is no longer there.

Exactly. Pointless fearmongering from a good few recently. And 2000 dollar consoles right?
I disagree but it's all speculation. We'll see. Xbox shouldn't be awarded it's existence purely because there's some unwritten rule that there must be three major players in the console market. You're old enough. We were just fine with sega/Nintendo back in the day. We'll be fine again. Why does blame matter? My point is that people seeing this as some sort of win for their chosen platform are very short-sighted. This is clearly bad for the industry.
The irony is striking when people who wanted MS to have all the power now worry that MS spent so much money they ended up giving more power to Sony.
It's just videogames.
