Killed my first Thunderjaw last night. What a fight! I love the combat in this game. Also finally moved onto the Sunlands after what must be 15 hours in the Sacred Lands.
One of the most well written games this year.
Well written? I find most of the dialogue very basic and video game, especially with Aloy constantly talking to herself.
Damn, where is a F O X S K I N ??? Looking for ages

The main story's plot and dialogue is actually very well written. They made it quite mainstream which is probably what you're referring to. It may not be as complex or become as dark as games like Witcher 3 and VNs, but in terms of having a coherent plot, good characters with motivations and lots of memorable NPCs, it's one of the best.
Open world games always had trouble with what they want in their stories with what you actually do and it usually ends up a convoluted mess. Thankfully, Horizon doesn't suffer from any of that. It was great to jump between sidequests and the main quests and it never lost its thread and kept me intrigued.
Also, YOU WILL NEVER FIND FOX SKINS.I got one after killing 35 foxes
Having played several of the story missions things are pretty dark and grim in some partsThe entire story behind the Faro plague and then the horrible lie behind the meat grinder of Enduring Victory was pretty damn dark even if it was done to save the world.
Yeah backstory wise is pretty dark and grim .
Both in current time and way in the past .
Nothing was more upsetting than getting a blue icon after killing a fox/boar/turkey and getting an animal talisman. GRRRRRRR
Yes.Im nearly done the game but can we all agree thatwas a massive moron.Ted FaroLike everything was his fault. I can't believe he began the plague then killed apollo after elisabeth died.
Also, brilliant game so far. Loving it. Maybe one of my favourite of all time. The lore and stories have been fantastic.
As much as I'm loving the game I hope if there's a sequel they cut back a lot of human encounters. There's way too much human encounters for my taste, considering the good combat mechanics are better shown while fighting robodinos.

See I feel the opposite way, I'm way more interested in continuing with tribal plots and politics in a sequel. Those were the most enjoyable aspects of the game to me, although I think the main campaign was superb. That being said RoboDino combat was far better than the human combat, maybe they can expand on both types of combat in a sequel.

They don't have to cut back that much just it better .
From KZ we know they could have done better .
I think this being there first open world game is what cause the bad AI for humans .
They should expand the melee combat and AI vs humans in the second one .
It's not about the story, I actually find the tribal story interesting too.
Is about the combat, human encounters are just your standard encounters found in million diferent games, while robodinos encounters are more fresh and takes the most about the combat system, stealth, override, rolling, different weapons and status...
I just did the mission where you find out the meaning behind the games subtitle. Can't wait to jump back in find out what actually happened.I don't think I've seen anything where humanity nukes itself in order to get through the apocalypse. Usually it's them trying avoid the nukes and machines, e.g. Terminator. I'm sitting there, watching it, and thinking, "God damn! Did they nuke themselves? Is that what the last resort was?"
Edit: just to be clear, in case someone accidentally corrects me and spoils it,I'm assuming that's what was implied in Elizabeth and Faro's discussion logs at the top of the Faro tower
Are there any trophies tied to difficulty? I did have it on Hard, but have also been letting my 7 year old daughter play and have been switching down to Easy for her. I thought I'd kept the save files separate but I let her have a go this morning and apparently I'd already been playing on Easy. I hope this hasn't cooked up any trophies I could have otherwise earned. I've not long done Cauldron Rho which was pretty hard, but did a bandit camp maybe an hour or two later and they may have been on Easy as it went surprisingly well and I managed to stealth it entirely.
I loved every minute of it. Take a bow Guerrilla Games!
Where the hell is the "vessel" near devils thirst?? Im collecting cups for this goof and i just dont see it!!
Sharp ShotA War Bow or maybe a Sharp Shot?......
vessels are mugs.
Its funny because he think these objects have higher purposes but they are just... cups... to drink from.
No i know they are mugs and the purple box is usually pretty visible but i just cant find this particular one.
Yes.
To all of it
Hunting trials are frustrating sometimes. The stealth one with you trying to pick out watchers - quietly - in among shell walkers and stalkers wasn't much fun.
Do I have to get all blazing suns for the platinum?

yeah I had a hard time with that one as well. It is in a pile of junk near a building iirc, like right near a wall. Kinda blends in with the background
there were a lot of those though, so I might be mixing it up.
Other side of the water fom the main building. That one had me for ages too.
I guess so, but I dunno how they can make it better enough to be comparable with robot encounters. Maybe with better melee system, as you say, I guess.

I just went through my post history and added the links here, should be all of them here I think.
Can you kill Tallnecks?
Should I even kill them? They look like peaceful creature. I don't have the heart....unless there's a trophy for it or lots and lots of goodies to loot.
Great, now I feel bad just for wanting to kill it.
1. Make the world a bit more dynamic i.e. more interactions between the machines. Considering how you can get them to fight each other it looks like the foundation is already there, they just need to expand upon it. I also would like to see more interplay between the different tribes which would feel natural seeing what the state of the world is by the end.
I swearif Tom fucking Faro some how survived and was the one who activated the signal for HADES
I might not buy the game lol
Yes, if you have the quiet sprint ability it makes the trail much more easier.
