No it isn’t. We’ll definitely revisit this post of yours next year.
I don't really care if you revisit my post. I have nothing to be ashamed of, regardless of what happens.
You sound invested, though.

That's up to them if they want to move copies. This mess will certainly bottleneck those numbers & damage their reputation.
I hear you. But their reputation will NEVER be determined by PC gamers. Playstation gamers are the ones that matter for them. PC Gamers for them are like 2nd class citizens.
Doesn't stop Microsoft wanting to buy WB though. If you’re going to make a PC port, you might as well make a good PC port. PC gamers have very high standards and most devs have risen to that. If this port is less than good, well I won’t kill Sony for it but they need to shape up going forward.
60-70fps at 1440p high settings is very good result on stock 1080ti in such beautiful game. IDK what you were expecting.
I guess I'll be playing the game on my ''50 TV in 1080p Ultra then. 1080Ti barely hits 60 FPS on High settings in 1440p. So ultimately, just as I though it would be peformance-wise - AC Origins / AC Odyssey.
Already did that on PS4.Play it on (very) hard otherwise you will get bored by dodgeroll spam + normal bowshot and that's all it takes to finish the game at lower difficulties.
this gen has probably soften that a little. If you’re going to make a PC port, you might as well make a good PC port. PC gamers have very high standards and most devs have risen to that. If this port is less than good, well I won’t kill Sony for it but they need to shape up going forward.

Don't know. I was completely bored by the gameplay on normal on PS4 and everytime i complain about it, people keep saying that the gameplay on higher difficulties is so much better.Already did that on PS4.
Did they introduced more difficulty levels after launch? I remember so but I'm not sure.

"Ultra hard" was added at some point, but I'm not sure if that's available from the start or only in NG+.Did they introduced more difficulty levels after launch? I remember so but I'm not sure.
So are PC folks are looking to be upset because they didn't go out of their way to include some super high res textures that weren't in in the game to start? It looks like this port is good, just not great. That shouldn't be a problem for most PC gamers I'm assuming.
The rendering resolution is 1920x2160 (in a checkerboard pattern, duh), the output resolution is 3840x2160. The UI runs at native 4K.What was the native resolution on PS4 Pro? I know it was 3840x2160 *with checkerboard rendering but did we have the actual pixel-count?
i know but gameplay doesn't
this looks beter imo
Not all that surprising then. The 2080 Ti delivers just over twice the performance of the PS4 Pro outputting 4x the amount of pixels. Still expected it to hit higher but oh well. The rendering resolution is 1920x2160 (in a checkerboard pattern, duh), the output resolution is 3840x2160. The UI runs at native 4K.
Cool for those who did not play it on PS4 but it's not a game you double dip even with the PC benefits. The open world tedium is a lot. I thought about it but after still playing Ghost theres no way I can handle another open world that was already boring as hell when I first played it. Maybe I'll give it a try before HZD2 when it's cheap on Steam and probably some cool mods out there.
4x the amount? While rendering what resolution? When compared to native 4K, it's 2x the amount of pixels as opposed to a Pro.Not all that surprising then. The 2080 Ti delivers just over twice the performance of the PS4 Pro outputting 4x the amount of pixels.
It's extremely disappointing that DLSS 2.0 is seemingly absent from this game.![]()

When including the frame rate. 2080 Ti delivers 497,664,000 pixels per second (60fps) whereas the PS4 Pro delivers 124,416,000 pixels per second (30fps).4x the amount? While rendering what resolution? When compared to native 4K, it's 2x the amount of pixels as opposed to a Pro.
Indeed, the pre-release build of HZD hits 60fps on my best machine... but this requires a considerable downgrade to somewhere around 60 percent of 4K, which can be toggled in an in-game menu. The game includes an automatic resolution-scaling system, which drops the pixel count in order to lock to your preferred frame rate of choice. When I leave the game at "high" settings (not maxed-out, graphically, but close to it), this automatic 60fps slider bumps the pixel count down to roughly 60 percent, as well. That result lines up with other resolution tests on the same system; 1440p, or roughly 44 percent of 4K, runs at 68fps on average with the same "high" settings preset.
It is strange seeing this game move so "fast." It is almost disappointing seeing the game run at anything other than the buttery smooth cinematic fps that was on my ps4
Maybe if sony fanboys stop hyping shit up so much as if their games are the second coming of christ.I hope in the future Sony stops wasting time porting games to PC. Use that time and resources for PS5 games, PC gamers don’t give a shit.

Me? I prefer PC to all of the other platforms. I was asking the question because I didn't understand the statement.

LOL!! you know it's the first of many ports to come...Specially after seeing how death much death stranding is selling. We just want a port that runs good in our hardware, if they fix the game, horizon will sell even more than DS.
Sony is learning that they can please both the PlayStation and pc audience. Hopefully they use this port as experience and put more work when Dreams and Bloodborne are released.

That's on a 2080 Ti so yikes. Buuut it's also pre-release and there are no drivers out so might be better when it does come out. But it's also IGN and they're incompetent.
The tester purposefully ran into GPU-intensive scenes to get these numbers.
1440p/60fps should be easy on a 2070S though.
So let's run some numbers.
PS4 Pro hits 30 fps at a res of 1920x2160.
2080ti hits 60 fps at a res of 3840x2160.
Doing some dumb back of the napkin math, the PS4 Pro is pushing about 124 million pixels/second, while 2080ti is pushing 497 million pixels/second. Somewhere around a 4x uplift in pixel throughput at the same graphics settings.
It looks WAY better. Cinematic? lol I hope you are joking. It is strange seeing this game move so "fast." It is almost disappointing seeing the game run at anything other than the buttery smooth cinematic fps that was on my ps4
My review.
A day one patch is coming to shore some perf issues up. But overall very fun and that world is just so dramatic and enjoyable to explore
Mexican tech you tuber Michael quesada showed that the game was running at around 95 fps at 1080p ps4 settings on a 2060 super. Maybe a bit lower than expected but not that bad.
Those results are more in line with rock paper shotgun and the game trailer that showed a bench result of 1080p 60 for an RX 580
Bench results are all over the place. Maybe folks aren't running the game with the ps4 FOV? That should stress the HW more.
when anisio will work + ultra texture it will change thing a lot moreThere's an update from Guerilla, and to be honest, it doesn't seem like this game was ready to be shipped. Critial issues are indeed critical for a game at this scale and budget.

maybe but who plays on pc with 70 fov ? this and draw distance was the worst thing of the gen for me when pc option was not possible.Mexican tech you tuber Michael quesada showed that the game was running at around 95 fps at 1080p ps4 settings on a 2060 super. YOU STOLE MY JOKE YOU SONUVABITCH!!!Looks better than Horizon Forbidden West on the PS5 to me.
That is still a possibility due to Mods. But we shall see.
