I don't like Sony's approach to censoring but I think the solution is pretty easy (and the only one that companies will understand): don't buy their shit.
Was it supid that she felt abused because GTAV? Maybe. Does she automatically make her a shitty writer? No. Just because she writes ideas that we don't like doesn't mean she doesn't write well. Spider-Man was a good game and that's all we should care about.
I personally didn't like the treatment they gave to Black Cat (or MJ for that matter) so I didn't get the DLC. Not that difficult. If they continue that path and their ideas affect the game in a way that destroys my enjoyment of it then I will not get it and that's it.
People bitch a lot about SJW's and how they fill games with politics but it's not exclusive to their political leaning. The opposition seems to love doing that too. It doesn't matter what side is complaining. At the end it sounds like bitching from both sides and it's just stupid.
Criticize the work, not the person. Let's behave like the advanced society we should be.

Peter’s struggle with potentially being a father and the urgency that was always in the background for him seemed genuine and well executed. Quality may be uneven, but not bad across the board. DLC episodes also give a lot less space for writers to flesh out their ideas.

Lead writer on SP was Jon Paquette. Sam Maggs isn't credited as a writer on the game nor is she credited anywhere as to having worked on the game in any capacity. People need to calm down with the conspiracy theories.
