Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell.
Forgot how much I liked this movie, until I watched it again on TV the other week.
Mulholland Drive

For my money the most terrifying shot in film history.

From Dagon (2001), a personal favorite.
That ones terrible this ones much better. None of that glitchy tv nonsense.

My man! I thought I was a hardened motherfucker, but this scene, man. This scene.
Surprised no one mentioned this scene from The Conjuring. This legit shook me in theaters, they way they built it up was amazing and I want to go back to when I first saw the scene

Also this scene as well

Surprised no one posted the Simpsons claymation "You're Next" unofficial couch gag. It's legitimately one of the most disturbing things I've seen, and hell if I can even understand why, being that it's just claymation.

Ya, i love that movie. So rewatchable.Kudos to all of you giving visibility to Lake Mungo.
Its a great film and easily the most authentic-feeling of the found footage subgenre. Very understated and nuanced.
Ya, i found this much scarier than the actual demon. i am one who wishes they had never shown it's full form. It was scarier as just hands that pop out of the darkness. The clapping game scene in The Conjuring always spooked me. Seeing the hands pop out really caught me off guard.

Imagine if Lynch actually tried to make a "scary" movie...
Jesus.
Same. Supernatural stuff is so dumb to me. Way creepier when its some psychological human creep factor.Tbf this past of Insidious was more chilling to me than Darth Maul

Juon is really quite scary. There was a scene with what looked like just a head of hair on the floor and it scared the shit out of me.
I couldn't sleep the night I saw this movie. I kept "seeing" someone facing the corner of my room. The Blair Witch Project (1999)

Not really a horror, but this scene from Communion spooked the hell out of me as a kid.
