I’m yet to see that, but if that’s the case that’s why I said I’m only interested if there’s no bullshit being hidden in this first round of curated reviews. I’d class bullshit as hamfisted SBI writing (Indy is a dumb-dumb but girl boss to the rescue etc).

For me and I'm sure many others. Meta/media reviews are just a small indication of what's going on with a game. And review threads provide not only more insight from genuine hands on users here, especially as time goes on. But also it can be entertaining.

Why would it be mostly puzzles? Is Uncharted mostly puzzles? Is Tomb Raider mostly puzzles? No, there is action, there is exploration, there is story development, etc.

My understanding is the action is toned way down, mostly stealth and exploration with puzzles being the real centerpiece

We have a bit of a problem because BO6 was supposed to fail and for whatever reason people liked the single player campaign thing... then flight sim failed so that was good, and now we have this Indiana Jones thing which is really inconvenient.

There is also STALKER which... lot's of conflicting thoughts on that cuz war politics and all that, but ultimately that one was ok to be ok.

Next target is that woke game Avowed or whatever .. fingers crossed that one sucks to make up for all of this mess

This is completely subjective.
To me the gameplay looked kinda shallow with 1:1 fist fights, empty cities and outdated setpieces.
It got good scores, it's not a masterpiece but I expected a 7.5 game so that's good if it's not the product of inflated scores.

Played opening.
Shamefully bad re-creation not worthy of Raiders of the lost ark.

6/10 based on the opening, only thing going for it so far is Indy Baker voice.

Characters look bad, like they are out of place in the scene even cut scenes, like aliasing gone wrong, animation stutters, characters barely react to you bumping into them, dead bloated faces and eyes, things like food cans on a stone barely react to the whip, it kind of just passes through them.

Well it seems they've nailed the story and tone of the films perfectly which I thought showed in the trailers anyway. There is some complaints about the combat though so I guess that points to some of your criticism of the trailers. Nice to have a decent Indiana Jones game though.

To be fair, i have been reading there isnt much woke stuff in this, apart from a few cutscenes with Indy bumbling about with his female sidekick putting him down with banter.

As it should be with a game set in the 30's. No woke needed, wanted, or allowed!.
