YES!!! Been saying this for a few years. Developers are beholden to the publishers and they follow the trends. They continually try to appease the shareholders. That is why many games have been released unfinished.
Plus, the AAA industry is nothing but sequels, spin offs, remakes, reboots or part of a franchise. Very little originality or creativity. They also shoehorn in GAAS and MP bullshit.
Only one of the top 10 best selling games this year is an original IP, but it's part of an existing IP (Hogwarts Legacy). The rest are all sequels.
To make matters worse, the worst reviewed big games are single-player new IP's and won't encourage publishers to take many more chances on SP new IP's. (Forespoken, Redfall, Gollum)
The industry is getting stuck in the cycle of sequels with very little new material.

but yes, AAA games now is cost too high to produce and it will become fewer and fewer in the future if the things are keeping like this.

No. The industry is making hand over fist money. Even if the player count isn't going up expetionally anymore it would take some unprecedented event to crash the market.
Too many studios that are independent from each other. Atari collapsed cause they put out tons of garbage and we're the only player in town (sorry commodore 64)

The crash in the 80's happened because Atari blew up to ridiculous levels, and every tech company wanted a piece of that pie, releasing their own overpriced machines with shit games, and the consumer didnt know what to go with so went with none of them.
Completely different situation as today.
AAA budgets do need to get under control though, and is a problem that will, and already has, closed down multiple studios because their games didnt meet ridiculous sales expectations.
Dont think that would cause a worldwide gaming crash though.

Lmao, no. It's still making money and is still very healthy. We've definitely seen some bumps, very noticeable ones at that, especially from the AAA market. All we can do is hope that it will improve quality, but only time will tell.

We get bad games and good games every gaming year and so far we got plenty good games but you guys only concentrated on bad games.

Personally i like it, that there is some dynamic to all of this, luckily we live in capitalism, mediocrity wont be rewarded in such heavy competetive environment, so 0 worries there.
I think we can simply wait patiently next few years, vote with our wallets and trust the process, like we always did.

For example- im hack&slash genre and diablo series fan(atic), i still dont like plenty things about d4 that launches in bit over a week, but i would be hypocrite stating that blizz doesnt get my money- i preordered d4 back in december and played 20h durning beta, and im 100% sure i will at least play this game solid few weeks worst case scenario so will get plenty of my money's worth =D

nah, stuff is selling extremely well.
but in a couple gens or so, if games are really stale, numbers will pull back a ton.
hopefully we get a few more demon/dark souls moments (game comes out of nowhere and bucks the current trends).

Remember this game?…it was big PS3 exclusive game that was suppose to be “Halo killer” but it had disastrous release.
Shit happens, it doesn’t mean entire video game industry gonna crash because few bad games..

I think you're looking at how we should respond very rationally, and it is probably the best idea to vote with our wallets. I bought the new Star Wars gave, was super disappointed that it performed as awfully as it did and got a refund from Microsoft.
I haven't tried the new Diablo game yet, but I'm interested in checking it out at some point though. For your sake, I hope that it's great and was worth your money.

Im certain it wont be as legendary as d1/d2 but even worst case scenario, if it only gives me as much fun gametime like d3 did, aka 300h+, i cant complain either

The videogame market is not going to crash as such, but I can see certain businesses which are being heavily invested into, like multiplayer live service titles, not doing nearly as well as companies like Sony hope. What a lot of them don't realize, and they really should've learned this lesson from the battle royale genre's descent from its peak, is that only a tiny handful of these live service titles can succeed. The rest end up getting shut down after a year.
People's time is limited, their money is limited, their attention is limited, so naturally they are only going to latch onto one or two of these games at a time for multiple years. Sony's idea of bombarding the market with 12 live service games over the next 3 years is folly because they are just going to cannibalize each other. Why would people continue to play Helldivers 2 or Fairgame$ as their co-op / heist / extraction / whatever game of choice, when for example Destiny 2 is still getting support and Marathon is right round the corner from the same trusted developer?
I can see live service titles receding back to whence they came (thank god) but I do weep for the complete waste of time and billions of dollars spent on what could've been more memorable games.

The videogame crash was a uniquely usa problem it had zero effect on both europe & japan regions back in the day, gamers felt no change at all when it all went to shit in the usa, while there's a lot of low quality badly made beta shit sold as supposedly finished full price releases there's also well made games to balance it out. Plus gaming is WAY bigger today than back in the day which is why it imploded so easily in the usa back then it was still a niche hobby only for nerds. There's no way it would crash it's too big now.

The only crash you speak of will be Microsoft potentially trying to get out of the console race because it's not as profitable as their other sectors. May depend on the Activision/Blizzard acquisition going through or not. Even then, what does that look like? Move to services only, sell off the Division entirely?
Besides that, I don't see a doom and gloom. Moreso resetting of expectations for consumers or Publishers and Devs understanding how to best operate under current market conditions.

Honestly, I hope it crashes. Or at least the Western gaming industry does. This industry needs a reset. It's controlled by late-stage capitalist multinational corporations, who are only interested in selling games for the most money they possibly can by including obscene passes, subscriptions, and microtransactions and by reducing quality, artistry, risk-taking, and technical knowhow. By contrast, this industry used to be run by weirdos, nerds, and geeks who wanted to make and sell games because they themselves loved games and had ideas and visions that they wanted to share with the world. A crash would get at least some of the corporate suits out and leave behind people who are passionate about gaming.

GAaS is already doing it. Everyone is going to give it a go but a lot of them are gonna fail out and go back to the meat of what makes that studio money.
For example, if From tries a Demons Souls GAaS game, and it fails, they still have lots of other IP to do well.
